mac_daddy the police - zenyatta mendatta ad ghost in the machine (sacd)

i have no idea what the hell happened to sting... up through the blue turtles/bring on the night, he totally had his sh*t together, and the police albums are all solid, and each gets progressively better. but starting with some of the sh*t on nothing like the sun, the d00d started to lose it. now his sh*t is as unlistenable to me as elton john or the f*cking eagles...

My thoughts exactly! Kind of like what happened to Rod Stewart in the 90s.

MrPleasant Chris Bell - I Am The Cosmos

Don't listen to this one if you've recently broken up with your spouses - parts of it are suicide inducing.

The album should be labeled: "Fragile".

MrPleasant Well, she's a nerd. Her first album rocks, though.
April 12th, 2005 12:36 AM
VoodooChileInWOnderl Patti a nerd?

In my humble opinion she's the one and only female Rolling Stone I love her music, her lyrics and her stage presence

She rocks like nobody else, in my ten top female rockers EVER
April 12th, 2005 12:57 AM
MrPleasant The intensely serious aroma of her music/lyrics/performance bothered me a tad this time.

Maybe it's my fault or I wasn't in the right mood. I'll give Wave a proper spin... later.

Incidentally, do you know why women don't play air guitar?

Because their tits get in the way.

Jair Nancy Sinatra - Nancy Sinatra
Chemical Brothers - Push the Button (too good, btw)
Kings of Leon- Aha Shake Heartbreak

Surround Sister Yeah, Patti Smith... And nancy Sinatra... Two perfect arti´sts. Nice choices!
Right now I enjoy a (short?) punk revival period.
Go to: http://www.pizzoar.com/
YOu gotta click at "mp3" (to the left, then - )
...Scroll down thru the two text blocks, and then - download the first mp3 "Guds barn - studioversionen"
Title means "Gods Children [next word is just 'the studio version'] and is the edgy dealing with missionairing hypocrit so called christians.
Site is started by their bassist Roffe (ol´friend of mine).
Recorde around New Years Day 1979/1980.
Could you believe this song was banned in Swedish radio (which usually plays almost anything!)
Listen and feel the vibes from Hell City, deep in Sh*t Creek: Right where I come from (not the idyllic place I posted pics from in another thread here... )
...Another mp3 I listen to now is "Hand On Heart" with Diamon Dogs. recent group with memnbers from punk era in Sweden; at Johan Johanssons site (here we navigate sideways) you can download the mp3:
http://www.monoform.com/johansson/mp3/mp3.html. Enjoy!

Child of the Moon Bowie - Station to Station. It's been a very rough day and I'm in a terrible mood. This album is quite cathartic for me, so it's up on the rotation (along with Low).

MrPleasant Love You Live.

(First-time listen.)

It's not awesome (what's that dated echo in "Fingerprint File"? Do you have to snort coke to enjoy it?), but who's bitching?

It's taking my blues away.
April 13th, 2005 07:23 PM
Dan I bought that Bowie boot at Arons about 10 years ago.

Right now still a lot of Hanoi Rocks and some Motley Crue DVDs that are still trickling in, and in the walkman right now is a soundboard of Metallica Auburn Hills, MI 10/1/04. Not at all into recent Metallica but this one has Blackened, Fight Fire With Fire and Disposable Heroes so its pretty decent.
