Chico I was listening to ya yas for the first time in ages and although midnight rambler is good, the 72 version is 10 times as good.I thought there was no real good juicy solos in 69, whereas in 72, the guiter weaving and solos are breathtaking.Must've been unreal to be at one of those shows. Was anybody on this board witness to such a great event. What was it like? When did the lights go off?Did anyone go for a quicky when the lights were off?I sometimes try to imagine being there when im listening to live shows on my headphones.Im told chiba helps.lol

littleredrooster Yes Sir!

Went to all 4 shows at MSG in '72. It was amazing to hear
how the interplay between Keith & Taylor improved since '69. These shows were at the end of the tour and the boys were quite polished in their performances. There are some great recordings from '72 available. The Cinema release of "Ladies & Gentlemen, The Rolling Stones" was an exceptional recording from that tour. It's out there, someone should have a good copy.

swapwoodfortaylor What an amazing period! (Taking nothing away from the ireplaceable Jones). Thanks to someone on these pages who drew my attention to 'Brussels Affair' 17 Oct 73. Picked it up in Madrid a couple of weeks ago. Worth every Euro...and incredibly cheap after changing back to good old s !

On June 16, 2001 the hit counter of the WET page was inserted here, it had 174,489 hits. Now the hit counter is for both the page and the board. The hit counter of the ITW board had 1,127,645 hits when it was closed and the Coolboard didn't have hit counter but was on line only two months and a half.
