Topic: Mick Taylor in London, ON Bluesfest 2002 Return to archive

Lazy Bones Mick goes on at 8:40pm on Sunday, 14th July. The festival runs from the 12th to the 14th.
Below is the list of acts. Now, you figure the Stones would be 2 hours away in Toronto rehearsing. Wouldn't Keith be a great surprise guest?!

Bluzian Hey brother,

I'm going to the London blues fest fo' sho'!! Although, I
don't know if I'm sticking around for Taylor. I already
caught a show if his a few years back in Syracuse, with
Leon Russell, Kenny "bossman" Wayne (wicked black boogie
woogie playa), John Mayall etc.. Great concert, but Taylor
lacked energy and enthusiasm. I do recall he played the
most wickedest slide & wah~wah solo for "You Gotta Move",
but, travelling 4 hours just to see a 4 minute guitar solo
is hardly worth it. Anyways.. you going to London??

Lazy Bones Well, Toronto Tom and I plan on going. Don't have tickets yet, but clearing the path in that direction. Garth Hudson (The Band) plays after Mick. I'd like to see him too.
Once things become solidified, we should hook up for a beer?!

Ruskafarian Aren't the Stones arriving in Toronto on July 24th? That would
kinda ruin any hopes of them joining Mick Taylor on stage...

On June 16, 2001 the hit counter of the WET page was inserted here, it had 174,489 hits. Now the hit counter is for both the page and the board. The hit counter of the ITW board had 1,127,645 hits when it was closed and the Coolboard didn't have hit counter but was on line only two months and a half.
