Monkey Woman SDH, you're a gent!

BTW, I wonder how many of us wake up to a Stones tune in the morning, thanks to the alarm function of their CD-player? One of life's great little pleasures, certainly!

winter child of the moon -

I wasn't such a big fan until Tiny Music, but then bam - I was hooked. I've seen them live a bunch of times - Scott Weiland is the best front man out there today (excluding Mick, of course)

And in the mix, the guitar is loud and in your face -

Absolutely, love those guys. IMO, the last album lacked consistency, but a few of the songs are some of the best they've done - e.g., Hollywood Bitch, Dumb Love, etc.

It will be interesting to see what happens with them since they seem to be losing their commercial relevance (not that that should matter), and Mr. Weiland is divorcing his wife and doing another solo album, which is an apparent re-run of his last heroin binge - let's hope not!

Child of the Moon Wintah...

I loved those cats since Core came out in... shit, was it '93? They were the only rock group I really liked back in the day. When Tiny Music came out, I thought it was the coolest thing I'd ever heard. I caught a performance video of theirs from a year or so ago, when Shangrila-de-da came out, and they were so much like the Stones on-stage, it was incredible. I mean that in a good way, too. Weiland's a great frontman, and Dean DeLeo is a great guitarist.

I hope those cats come back for another go-round, because I'm sure it'll be great.

What a great song. Haven't heard it in a long time!!
Keith needs to start doing that again. I think it would be perfect if, no WHEN, the Stones return to the States!!
