Yeah, just heard it on the noon radio news here at work as well. So, it's Nurnberg July 10 as opening show then? Wow... |

And rs.com is unavailable, so they must be updating as well. |

Hi Angelique,
came home safe saturday night?
No headaches on sunday?
We didn't make it to the Stones-forum meeting in Utrecht.
Did you?
Have an offer for FOS tickets on 30/7 Arena for 122 euro each. Should I take them?

Opening a European tour in Nürnberg after a Keith injury has become a tradition it seems. |

Bad news So we won't be seeing them in Greece I suppose (?)
Do you think they'll actually play the postponed dates later this year? |

They won't. Some will be resheduled, but most will be cancelled imho. |

So,what do think, people will remember of this band? After
they´ve gone?
People will only remember, the last thing you did.so,people will only remember, they cancelled a tour, and asked high
ticket prices,and cancellin a tour,for someones childish
acts,is that a legacy we want?I think stones themselves
doesn´t give a fuck what they do.When you hit this point in
your career,call it quits. |

Hi Albert, we came home safe
Sorry you guys didn't win though
And no, I didn't go to Utrecht either, had some work to do on Sunday.
Take the tickets? I dunno, the price is fine (relatively), maybe you should just in case, you can always sell 'em again if some rescheduled dates of other cities are more convenient right! |

Not unexpected, but a big disappointment for our Euro fans.
Very distressing news.

This is terrible. The lesson is to stay out of palm trees! |

Tomorrow I'll be in a plane to Barcelona.
It's 25 degrees celsius over there and the forecast is good. So why complain?!
But still:it's not the same trip anymore with 2 tickets in my passport and no concert! Will try to get my money back.
I better enjoy my 10 days in Spain......after all:
It's Only Rock'n'Roll |

Mahatma, my friend.
I'm thinking that the next installment of US shows will be promoted at popular store chain in the US, 7/11, via the purchase of the super large Slurpee, the official drink of the Motherland India. It will go something along this line.
The flavor of the drink is Fijian Coconut, you must consume the drink in order for the special heat sensitive plastics to take effect, in the special collector's cup, which will show a special 900 number to call. The cup is a surcharge beyond the purchase of the drink, so you will know.
Once the code appears, there will be instructions to call the 900 number, enter the special code, travel thru five menus of language identifiers, whereupon another special code will be given. This code is in Kalaallisut, the official language of Greenland. You will have ten seconds to translate this code. You would then text this code to a computer, using another 900 number, which is given before the text message code. You will receive an email, with a password, which you would need to take to a web site, using a broadband cable access service, to allow entrance to a virtual waiting room system, for the opportunity to view a proposed schedule of tour dates in the US. These dates are subject to the health of all band members, and may be changed at any time. You will be have 3.25 minutes to complete the process, you will be allowed to view the tentative schedule for 30 seconds.
We thank you for your contined support.

No European Tour. Dream end. |
|
FotiniD |
The Greek promoter here doesn't say anything about money returned for the tickets - on the contrary they say we should wait and new dates will be announced soon.
So is this optimistic (like, rescheduled shows) or not? |

That's the way to be! If Twickenham gets canceled, I'm still going to London. Life goes on. |

You lot dont know how fucking glad i am they came to Australia before New Zealand. |

The promoter's site here mentions Bernand Doherty's e-mail for more information about the tours. I'm thinking of giving him a piece of my mind about all this but I'm still holding on
I don't blame Keith for all the mess. It was an accident - a stupid one, but an accident nevertheless. What matters most is that he's fine, and I still think so even after Greece is postponed, and even if it's cancelled in the end.
I've been waiting for this moment for years, living here you don't get to see them very often unless you travel abroad and it's not always easy. I'm gonna be SO depressed if it all goes down like this, but what can you say... First and foremost I'm glad Keith's doing alright, and that's THE most important thing to remember.
God, but it is being a bitch of a year. |

I understand exactly how ya feel, Fotini.
When I saw Athens was in danger, I thought of you right away.
I'm so sorry...this very frustrating and the fans deserve some answers as soon as possible.

Enjoy the vacation time Albert, at least you can drown your sorrows in beer sitting in the sun instead of in this stormy and rainy weather here!! |

Is it so hard to let the Euro fans have their depressed moment for a while in this thread about the European leg???
At this moment most of us don't give a shit about any Fall US dates to be honest; you already seen them or had the greatest of chances to do so, and many Euro fans will now not be able to see them at all this whole tour. So take it to another thread or whatever. |

Hopefully, Cohl and Co announce something today.
I will keep my fingers crossed that Greece is rescheduled for you, but I am betting lots of these shows won't be. Damn Coconuts!! |

Thanks for the kind words and support LJ and Meg! It is a lousy year
Well, I'm trying to keep the spirits up and hoping if the shows are indeed rescheduled I might even get to catch more gigs! You never know! My uncle's going to be back home in Italy by that time, and that means we might even go together both to the Athens and the Milan shows. (Keeeping fingers crossed).
All fellow RO'ers with postponed gigs... Sorry for that too! Jeez, we should create a union or something And file a claim to Cohl...
(Radio stations here are insisting our gig is postponed, not cancelled... Let's see...)

RS.com is a huge joke. They wait till we've heard the news from a million different sources and then paste the same stuff. Guess what - it's not 'news' anymore! |
