Topic: Turnin' people on to the Stones, man. Return to archive
28th May 2004 10:23 AM
Monkeytonkman Does anyone out there turn people on to the stones, get them into listening and such like - try to open their eyes to the wonder of real Rock 'n' Roll music.

The only reason I'm typing this is 'cus i've just finished my last lesson for Friday, and my students have been in an I.T room typing up their assignments. Two of them were listening to the Stones and really grooving, one lad - Mark, recently bought 'Jump Back' and was listening to that, while the other student - Lilly, borrowed disc 1 from Forty Licks out of my office and was really getting into it. i could see her bopping to it while she was working.

Put a little smile on my face, and felt good. You gotta spread the gospel brothers - the Church of Rock 'n' Roll is calling!

Take care, and to those it applies to, have a good Bank Holiday weekend.

Monkeytonk.

I think it's a holiday for dead people. But I'm sure there's still alot of money to be made for living people. Especially if they sell gasoline. Start of the summer driving season and all that ... high demand.

Everyone should have a James Brown rubber ducky. I got mine at Gay Mart on Halsted.

Mr. Motels - it is an odd holiday, isn't it?

Is mail being delivered today?
