I think this song is very underrated, and would make a great opener - have they even ever played it in concert?? |

I loved Everything's Turning To Gold from the first time I heard it when it was released on 'Sucking In The Seventies' but, compared to my friends, I was in the minority. The song starts with an addictive pulsating guitar grind and it grooves right through. A little while back, I posted on the 'What Are You Listening to Thread' that it's on one of my summer compilations that I play in the car and I'm STILL listening to it.
Happy to see that someone else ot there likes it as well.
I'm tired, I'm tired of doing what I'm told.
Things are moving way too slow.
I got no problems, I got no problems, child.
It ain't my business, it ain't my business, ain't my style.
Now that the love juice starts to flow,

I don't think it was pop enough for Some Girls and didn't fit Emotional Rescue. I agree it could be a great album track but it's nice to have it buried for a rare treat. |
