I was reading the metallica opening for the stones thread and I just wanted to tell of my own little experience opening for the stones, and the pre gig pic with the band. I have my doubts the stones would treat metallica that way, cause when I played with Anik Jean last january opening for the stones in montreal, they took the time to meet us before the show, shake hands and talk to everybody in the band, and then pose for their photographer to take the picture.
They were friendly, true gentlemen. Mick, of course, seems a little more distant than the other band members, but don't forget that moment happens rigth after he finishes his workout backstage and and the moment he jumps on stage, so he's really concentrated on the show he's about to give. By the way, I'm a huge stones fan, having seen them close to 30 times since 78, so it was probabaly the happiest day of my life. If someone can tell me how to, I will post a few pics... |

The two greatest experiences for me would be to open for the stones and then the same night to be a guest and play with them.
Great you have one of them Pornflakes, please post pictures! We can even post them as headers, I'm sure many of us want to see them. |

I can't say I have the photographers name, because they were sent to me or
I got them from off the internet with no name as far as I can remember.
