I was fortunate to meet Mr. Hooker backstage at a show almost twenty years ago. We were both tore up, and neither one of us could understand the other. He gave me a t-shirt.

It was a black t-shirt with John Lee Hooker's image in white. I wore it at work until it fell apart a few years later.
