It Scott to be Dylan
Jun 1 2003
by Rachel Mainwaring,
ACTOR Dougray Scott will finally get to portray hell-raising Welsh poet Dylan Thomas on the big screen.
Rolling Stone Mick Jagger and Swansea's Victoria Pearman, who run Jagged Films, have finally raised the cash for the project and filming will start in October.
Ms Pearman secured the final, vital bit of cash during last week's Cannes Film Festival.
Our spies tell us a chunk of it came from the Isle of Man Film Commission, which means half the film will have to be filmed there and the other half here in Wales.
Dougray, currently starring in Ripley's Game and To Kill A King, will also get to spend a couple of days in New York when he shoots the scenes at the famous Chelsea Hotel, where Dylan died.

As long as Mick is not in it. He will be starting the

I dont know. This does not bode well for a return of the band to the States. Mick was very involved with his producing duties on Enigma--hell, maybe they will shoot this new one in three months time, release the new studio album in Dec, and be back for the mini-tour to promote it in Jan 2003.
Well, I can keep my fingers crossed. |
