SaintGar I am definitely a fan of Mr.Watts solo output.I bought "Long ago and far away" in '96,mainly out of curiosity, but grew to love it.Same story with the "tribute to charlie parker with strings". I was astounded by the charlie watts/jum keltner project CD,after reading favourable reviews I took the plunge and bought it,and think it's a brilliant piece of work..especially tracks 2,6,7,and 9.Track 9,"elvin suite" being worth the price of the CD alone!
A diverse and musically interesting solo career, what do the rest of you guys think???

Charliegirl I love the Charlie Watts/Jim Keltner Project too! That is a great CD and it still shocks me that Charlie would want to do something like that. He was on the cover of a Modern Drummer issue and there was an interview with him and Jim Keltner inside about that project. I'm sure if you go to moderndrummer.com you could find the article, it was pretty interesting.

sirfito I have all the Charlie's albums.
I love all of them.
And I really enjoy, yes ENJOY, The last one with Jim Keltner.
Most of all "Elvin's Suite". It's superb!
The other night I heard it (on tuesday) and said (again): "excellent".
Best,
Fito
