After spending two days in Lexington NC, I am hooked on smoking large slabs of pig!

Nellcote, I may have missed those posts. Unfortunately, I haven't been to the Lexington Barbecue festival. I've heard tales of people having to wait several hours just to get a barbecue sandwich. Luckily, whenever the festival comes around, there's a place in Thomasville called Tommy's that serves the best barbecue in town. I always go there if I don't want to wait two or three hours to get some great food.

Barbecue, hush puppies, onion rings, and a large glass of Cheerwine: That's a good meal there!

MrPleasant OK. The Bobathon is in full gear. Three daily hours just listening to Pleasantvoice here. But I'm still stucked in the eighties. However, I find every goddamn recording of him secretely delightful; except "My God: They Killed Him!!!" of course.

I have a terrific hangover this morning . Spent a majority of last evening drinking Heinekens and " Jaggerbombs " outdoors in the patio area of Mr. Toads in the Old Market District in Omaha , NE when , about Midnight , these horrific thunderstorms came rolling into town and I had to move quickly to avoid getting drenched ....... the rain NEVER let up and I got soaking wet whilst running to me car ..........

.....my fellow Stonescicles .... Never ..... I repeat .... NEVER drink outside without having first watched the Weather Channel ( Local on the Eights ) . Word .... to your flackys .

Yet , I STILL plan on making it to me brother's house for a barbecue this evening ............ Steaks ( no RIBS ) and plenty of Hess Estate Cabernet Sauvignon '99 .

yeah man, I remembered you telling me your about appreciation for all things Rudys bar-b-que

I never knew you were such a bar-b-que purist, I'm impressed by your set-up, sounds awsome. I used to be that way too, but a few years back I went nuts and went to the GAS grill, cleaner and easier...i still use my old one when I have to cook something that requires serious cooking time...briskets ect
