FPM C10 Tom Waits, definitely. Brian, definitely NOT.

I've always said (and this has nothing to do with liking his music) that I'd love to drink a beer with Bruce Springsteen.

I'd love to drink 27 beers with Shane McGowan.

I woulda loved to drink with Joe Strummer.

Would love to buy R.L. Burnsides a asspocket fulla whiskey.

05-20-03 06:20 PM
Honky Tonk Man I wouldn't share a beer with ANYONE!

I'm sorry, they would just have to buy their own.

"I got ten little puppies and 12 shaggy hounds
took all 22 dogs to hunt Miss Maybelle down..."

R.L. was on Conan doing that song a year or two ago. It was one of the greatest things I've ever seen. No bass player, but still! It made me laugh out loud, not because it was funny, but because it made me feel so damned good that there's still some of the GOOD shit around and it accidently gets on TV once in awhile.

High five my brother. High fucking five.

gypsymofo60 Mmmmmmmm! Who would I like to share a beer with?.......Well it certainly wouldn't be with The Ramones!!!!!!!If you get my drift?........Why do people always wanna drink with dead dudes? Amazing! Again, I say I wouldn't want to share so much as a prawn sandwich with anyone I looked up to and admired, what would you say to them?.....So! how's the net Pete?......Fancy a Mars Bar Mick? But I guess sharing a pint with Steve Jones might be a hoot..on a submarine mission for you babe.............

Monkey Woman Mick Jagger! I'd jump to the occasion, of course! Where's the Heineken?

Gotta be Ronnie when he was "wet" - at the bar at the bottom of his garden, a nice Guiness,,,oh and then Keith turns up!! Surprise surprise! He brings some more bottles of Jack and we all get stuck in! Now Keith starts cutting up some lines of "ra ra" and we get high...Now all of a sudden Ronnie wants to jam!! Ronnie: "Come on Matt and Keith lets put some guitar tracks down in the studio!" Me: "OK if you insist Ronnie!"
We are playing some wicked blues and then WTF,,,Charlie and Wyman appear!! Keith "OK, OK lets lick up a beat Charlie!" We are now all playing (rather well actually) Little T&A, Keith is really getting into it and singing + shouting well! Just as it gets to the "she's my little rock and roll" part Jagger jumps in the side entrance to sing the backing vocals! Then I play the guitar solos, licks and what ever I want to the song! After the song finishes Keith and Ronnie say "where did you learn to play like that??!" I say "Well just copied you guys and Micky T - where is he by the way?" Ronnie "Well he's a great friend and he's gonna be round in a few minutes" We smoke some Chiba mix Little T&A and Micky T turns up!!!! We say our hellos and go back out to perform Casino Boogie - Micky T shows me how to play that solo to perfection and we play a few more (Going to a Go Go / She's So Cold to name but a few) and have a game of Snooker - and continue to get loaded into the morning!

Just some thoughts!!!!

J.J.Flash Zeeta, your story is good. Really, I like it! Sometimes I have the same thoughts, this kind of fantasy. Hey, your avatar is really great too hehe, your looks great with this cigarette.

Well, well, about some Rock stars which I would like to share a drink goes like:

* Keith Richards (surely the first);
* Mick Jagger;
* Ron Wood before his health "recovery";
* Charlie Watts;
* Mick Taylor;
* Eric Clapton;
* Jimi Hendrix;
* Jack Bruce;
* Ginger Baker;
* Ian Gillan;
* Brian Johnson;
* Angus Young;
* Iggy Pop;

Now, a guy who I never wish to drink a beer together would be RITCHIE BLACKMORE===> DEFINITELY, NEVER. I mean, the guy is a genius, his band (Deep Purple) and his musics are really fuckin' great, but as a person, Blackmore is ROTTEN!!
05-22-03 01:08 AM
Madafaka I saw him live in Buenos Aires with his band, Rainbow.
It was a great show!
05-22-03 01:22 AM
J.J.Flash I know my friend, I know. Rainbow is one of the best bands ever.... Did you already listen to the debut album? Catch the Rainbow, Temple of the King, Man on the Silver Mountain...
I know Ritchie as a musician is great, but I never would share a beer with this motherfucker! As a person, this guy is a piece of crap.
Max, take care friend! See you later!
Cheers!

luridchief The Stones are my idols, so I'd pass on them--I'd rather not make a fool out of myself! Instead:

? early 70s-era Faces
? Bowie

fmk438j I'd feel like an idiot drinking with any regular stone.

So I pick Stu.

He seemed like an honest and genuine guy, and I'm sure he could tell some great stories without any drug haze clouding the facts.

TheSavageYoungXyzzy No bars in this goddamn country will serve me. Therefore, I can only go out drinking with the alcoholics, as we'll both be drinking soda.

Therefore, I'll go out drinking with Ronnie and Pete Townshend.

I would go have a steak with Paul McCartney, just because he's a vegitarian.

-tSYX -- I can see for miles and miles...

Savage get yer ass over here to the UK!! Age limit set quite rightly at 18!
We used to get served in the pubs when we were 15!!
A friend used to put mascara on his face to look like he had a beard!!
Gay you might say but YESSS it got him served...all in the name of Alcohol!!
In my opinion it used to be more fun being in the pub when you were under age - it gave certain dangerousness like you really shouldn't be there but you were. When I turned 18 it got a little more boring - stick this LEGAL shit!
Although not *that* boring ;D

Going for a steak with Macca - enlightening!

Cheers

Hey, I actually did that one, back in Colorado in '95 or '96 at some rock and roll festival or another. The bulk of the conversation was spent talking about how one day there was going to be a ridiculous pussified major label garage rock "revival" sometime in the next 10 years and how all the bands were going to suck. That, and how fucking excited we both were to see Billy Childish. And, hey, at least we were wrong about ALL the major label garage bands sucking.

Met Roky Erikson too, back in Austin around the same time, signing a book of his lyrics in a barbeque joint. Made a brief attempt at conversation. He told me he recognized me and that I'd gotten my hair cut since the last time he'd seen me. I'd never seen or met him before. That was a crazy go nuts moment if ever I had one. Don't think that beer would mix well with his medication.

Although I heard through a reliable source that these days Roky can actually leave the house by himself and that he goes down to the convenience store every day for a pack of cigarettes.
