you are correct.
that 3/8 show just went up, and it looks to be a scorcher.
I am moving through 3/7, and haven't heard a low part yet
I'll have to pull 3/8 now, and give her a whirl tomorrow...
edit:
and whoever the reviewer was that said the two drummer rhythm section was no good has his head up his ass - the low end sounds great - fat sound, dynamic and tight
oh - Cold Iron Bound rocks!

Some kind of error on the first track on both discs. It was corrected but I didn't grab the corrected files. PM me(@ polksalad69) w/what I need to do for the seed. I'm kinda backlogged at the moment. |

np...
I just checked the sources, and realized why I was screwed up on the dates...
I was staying away from 3/5 and 8 because the sources looked questionable...
I will however be happy to seed 3/6 and 7 - they sound good.
the Tulsa show (2/28) and the St. Louis show (3/1) also sound good, and I will seed those out, too...
but the Dylan completists might dig a seed of some of the others (that you pulled evidently). drop me a line when you clear your plate a bit, and I'll help ya out. But basically, all you do is announce the vine offer, and send a set of audio discs (many here do not do the lossless thing) to the first person to sign up... |

Yeah 3/5 was questionable. The taper even said that. That's cool. I've got stuff going w/Hank III shows and trades in general. I haven't been saving every show in shn or flac just some, kinda hit or miss. |

OK, here’s how this little one-disc compilation came about. I just had the pleasure of doing three bob shows in Detroit and along the way ran into jersey jon who was capturing the magic. He gave copies to friends of mine who gave copies to me. Unfortunately not one show was complete but what was there is worth sharing in some way. So here it is.

Sure was! It was the first of 3 shows in Toronto AND the only one that Travelin' Man Records wasn't at and naturally didn't record. Tell me what to do...
A friend emailed me today and said a DVD copy of this show is (or will be) available through a member on Shidoobee. Haven't checked yet, however. |

Naturally, it's Dylan - the shows were great! The RICOH COLISEUM was the 1st of 3 shows. It's a hockey arena (home of the Toronto Roadrunners) located within Exhibition Place (The Ex). It's capacity is 10,000 - it appeared to be a sell out but don't know if it was officially.
Doors opened at 7:00pm. A nice surprise, while standing in line, were the guys walking around selling the new Philharmonic Hall Bootleg Series Vol.6 for only $30 (Cdn). Brand new, nicely packaged and in advance!
The arena had g/a floor tickets (like most venues this tour) and reserved seating in the stands; I chose the reserved as I'm not a g/a fan, at all. My seats were good - about 12 rows up on Larry's side (stage left). Sound was quite nice. Highlight for me was Ballad Of a Thin Man. A favourite I've never heard live before and done, imo, very well. Other highlights were (the shows' opener) Drifter's Escape, Hwy 61, Memphis Blues, Most Likely and Watchtower.
The 2nd show was Saturday night at the PHOENIX THEATRE. With a capacity of only 800, it's the smallest venue on the tour and rumoured to have sold out in less than 5 minutes. Scalper tickets were going for $250. I had met some friends in line shortly after 5:00 who were within the first 50 people in line. Martha had forwarded me Jeff Franzreb's (Travelin' Man Records - TMR) email addy and cell number to hook up before and/or after the gig. He had full intentions of recording the gig - and he did. We did manage to hook up briefly outside the venue before doors opened at 7:10. The theatre - g/a - was small, stuffy and hot. I managed to get within 20-25 ft. right in front of Bob (about 3 people back). Worst part about the show was having Toronto bluesman, Paul James' (he guested w/ Bob in TO in 2001) girlfriend/guest have her crutch diggin into my leg all night. Best part was the intimacy and the setlist. Not a single song had been repeated from the night before until the 13th song in the set - Honest With Me. Due to an "apparent" curfew, the set was cut short at 16 songs, the shortest thus far. Highlights were: To Be Alone, Maggie's Farm, Desolation Row, +4th St., RDW #12&35 and the encore as Cats In The Well was dropped (ironic as we, like Martha and Chris, had our cat put down before seeing Dylan). A little "spooky" but happy with even a minor encore change as LARS and Watchtower rocked unbelievably! I chatted with friends briefly after the show before heading home. I didn't stay in Toronto over night. I live about an hour away from downtown and decided to drive in and out for each of the 3 shows. After the second show, it was starting to catch up with me.
The 3rd, and final show, was at the KOOL HAUS (aka, The Warehouse, aka RPM - yes, the RPM the hosted the Stones club gig in '94). With a capacity of 2000, it, too, was sold out. Once again, I arrived to line up around 5:00. Jeff and his buddy Jay were already there with a parking space on the street right in front of the venue. Because it was very windy and unseasonably cold, not many had arrived early in line. Note to Jeff: I hope you have that toque now for next time! My friends arrived within 30 minutes after that and we practically huddled together to stay warm. I saw JC (who's now head-of-security for Dylan; of course up until last year had been with the Stones for 30 yrs) peaking out between buses from time-to-time. At the show, they really made it clear that no cameras of any kind were permitted. Of course, they didn't mention anything about recording equip, so TMR got this one, too! The show opened with the best Maggie's Farm I've ever heard. It was perfect - as was the sound. I'd been to the Kool Haus before and recall not being pleased with the acoustics. Not this time. I was situated about 3 people back, again, but this time in front of Larry. More of an angle view of Bob who's playing keys at far stage right. Highlights were Lay Lady Lay, Lonesome Day Blues, I Don't Believe You, You Ain't Goin' Nowhere (!!), Cold Irons Bound, Tom Thumb, Summer Days and Watchtower.
After the show I had an opportunity to chat with Jeff outside the venue after he called the setlist in to Bill Pagel for a good 30-mins. Great guy. And a nice way to finish off a great, yet exhausting trio.
In 3 shows we were gifted with 38 different songs out of 50 played. A nice "new song percentage", wouldn't you say, Martha..?
