Elvis Songwriter Dies
Writer penned almost sixty singles...

Elvis Presley’s main songwriter, Ben Weisman, has died aged 85 in Los Angeles.
During his career Weisman wrote almost sixty songs for the singing legend, including, ‘Fame and Fortune’ and ‘Follow That Dream.’
Nicknamed by Elvis as the “Mad Professor,” Weisman also created songs for the singer’s films - most notably, ‘Jailhouse Rock’ and ‘Blue Hawaii.’
Weisman – who also collaborated with Barbara Streisand - died yesterday (May 23rd). It’s reported that he had been suffering from pneumonia.
