The NHL NEEDS Southern Cali to do well. After trying to commit marketing suicide for the last five years rinks are closing out here and hockey is considered about as much of a sport as lacrosse. They need a Ducks win for marketing exposure.

Unfortunately true. It's the same reason why the league put the 6 Canadian teams in 2 divisions - so they eliminate each other with greater ease. The league doesn't want 6 Canadian teams in the play-offs. That means 6 less US teams when they need the exposure unlike in Canada where sales will always be strong regardless of results.

With a 32-year history, 3 Stanley Cups and the league's best goalie, the New Jersey Devils couldn't even fill their arena for the play-offs.

LadyJane Ducks vs Senators in the final.

My Sabres didn't make it, but at least Lord Stanley's cup will go to a team that has never won it before.

May the best team win.
