hi Gypsy. i haven't read any bio's on Jack, but i have 2 excellent DVD's about him with tons of footage and interviews with his friends like Ginsberg, Burroughs, Ferlinghetti, etc..
i also lucked into owning the Kerouac Box Set from Rhino records. it's fuckin amazing, but it don't come cheap. it's got 3 cd's of Jack reading his stuff accompanied by Steve allen on Jazz/bluesy piano. Essential. |

Another thing about Kerouac. A lot of the most famous photographs taken of Jack Kerouac were taken in the 1950's by his friend Robert Frank.
The SAME Robert Frank that filmed a movie called 'Cocksucker Blues'.
