Where my parents stay when in town. Also, where the bigs stayed in the late 20's & 30's.. Nice and Historical!!!! Worth the 25 minute drive from the airport.

Things been busy! Looks like May 15th is not crazy for an opening (June 1st fo' sho'). Finally making some progress on the inside and I just made a deal for two used deep fryers and a three door freezer. I think that I found a couple of cooks; two older local dudes. The one, Redeyes, I think I am going to put on payroll next week. He has been busting up these old tile floors with an impact hammer for the last two days. He just happened to be passing by yesterday, while me and the other one (Way) were working inside. Said he was a demo machine; he was not jokin’. The guy is unreal!!! We are also sponsoring a Jamaican girl that we me there last month. I must have talked to/interviewed 20 girls while we were there and only one called us back.. My HS school buddy/partner backed out.. He got cold feet, plus my parents got way to involved for a minute. It’s a shame, because the BBQ Pit portion of the store was perfect for him, but there will be more money for me in the long run… That’s it.  |
