gimmekeef What I find exciting about the new song is I cant tell if its a Mick or Keith song. The last albums have been pretty easy to tell who wrote which song.If this means they really are collaborating again then I'm even more optimistic about a good album....perhaps very good!

Mel Belli Feels like it's all Mick. I base that on the fact that Keith seems to play mostly lead fills on it, like he does with most of Mick's stuff.

Then there's the riff itself - an A to a G, backing chromatically into an F# and descending all the way to the E. This is just a hunch, but that just doesn't seem like something Keith would come up with, at least not in standard tuning.

gimmekeef From that perspective you may be right Mel.I was just reviewing the Keith lead about 2/3 thru which is Chuck Berry style whereas most of Mick's tunes have leads more elaborate or guess what I'd call Taylorish..long and flowing ......

Angiegirl Mick, definitely! The sound is more Mick even than any of his solo albums .
May 16th, 2005 03:17 PM
FPM C10 It was written by Mick Jagger and Bill Wyman!
May 16th, 2005 03:39 PM
Angiegirl That would explain a lot!

Actually , it's an ' outtake ' from the " 1972 Goat's Head Soup Sessions " in Kingston , Jamaica with most of the track written by the legendary Mick Taylor .

Gazza It sounds to me like it's a Mick song

With possibly some help from Ron Jeremy...

Soldatti I think that is 100% a Jagger/Richards song, ok maybe 70% Mick and 30% Keith but that's great at this point!

glencar I look forward to much better stuff in the near future.

Poison Dart I agree that it's 70% Mick 30% Keith.

This song is very solid.

tomk It must be Mick's 'cause it's not
a f***ing reggae tune.
No letters, please.
I own plenty of reggae discs.
Though if they did play Crackin' Up
at the PC, I would have loved it.
HA HA! Maybe they should have.

Gazza,
Ok, What is up with your porn references as of late? You mention it quite frequently any more. There is nothing wrong with it or anything however it is slightly out of character for you.

Ride em Cowboy!

Gazza Ron is a hero for ugly, middle aged overweight men everywhere.

However I dont exactly much of his 'work' but he gets a lot of 'mainstream' press coverage (hes actually in a reality TV show in the UK right now)
