Stellar version of the Last Time from the PPV in St. Louis. As a matter of fact it's the version they use on No Security. However they eliminate a lot of Richards backing vocals on the album. And of course the Four Flicks/Live Licks Street Fighting Man from Twickenham.

The Last Time on the b-stage in Paris '98 almost WAS 'the last time' for me. Stadium seriously overcrowded and the crush as the crowd surged forward towards the b-stage was pretty dangerous for a few minutes.

Its not just you, although Im not sure a show entirely in the round like that would work.

I thought the B-stage song choices on the current tour were pretty underwhelming, by comparison compared to those on the other tours from '97 onwards.

Nellcote The b-stage concept is the best.
The thrill of the "hunt" to get primo
position. You know you are golden,
when your hand is on the rail, and you
turn around to see you being glared at.
9th May 2007 11:55 PM
glencar I do think they've managed to kill the excitement of the B-stage by their uninspired song choices.
10th May 2007 08:07 AM
Gazza yep..especially when you know that whatever one of the "oh No, Not rough justice Again" combination wasnt played earlier in the show it will take the #1 slot, plus the third one is always Honky Tonk Women

I liked the idea where they played their way out to the b-stage and back again this time (previously that meant about 5-7 minutes of the show taken up by a gimmick with no music being performed) even though it was negated somewhat by it almost always being Miss You.

ExileIzzy It would be nice to get some early 60's songs on the b-stage
10th May 2007 10:37 AM
glencar Or some 70's ballads...
10th May 2007 01:50 PM
Paranoid_Android I recall seeing Route 66 played from B stage...No sec tour...don't know if you meant on ABB tour all or tours...
10th May 2007 01:59 PM
glencar all tours, all fours. Good memory.

Joey " all tours, all fours. Good memory."
