Factory Girl
They were the best band to come out of Seattle.

I was fortunate to se them live opening for my boy Iggy in my city of Baltimore.

Dan I never got into them, and I saw them 6 times all by accident -
2/8/91 KNAC 5th Anniversary Gig at Long Beach Arena (opening for Lynch Mob, LA Guns and Ozzy)
5/25/91 Clash Of The Titans at the Pacific Amph (opening for Anthrax/Megadeth/Slayer)
7/26/91 Hollywood Palladium (sandwiched between Megadeth and Mordred - it seemed to go on forever but it was really only 40 mins)
10/6/91 Hollywood Palladium (Rip Magazine 5th Anniversary, with Screaming Jets, Thunder, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Temple Of The Dog, Spinal Tap; introduced by Tom Araya and Dave Lombardo of Slayer, Duff McKagan plays on Man In The Box)
8/6/93 Santa Fe Dam Lollapalooza
8/7/93 Santa Fe Dam Lollapalooza
^^^ these 2 were a little better than the first 4 but the heat and the Rage Against The Machine/Tool pits had sucked the energy out of me

Absolutely hoirrible garbage......I never was into any of those type of band...or any band Dave Navorro was in..

Factory Girl Glencar, check PM!

jb, Dave Navarro was never in AIC. You're thinking of another band you despise--Jane's Addiction or RHCP.

Eagles?
12th May 2006 02:08 PM
sirmoonie Jar of Flies was amazing - they toned it down and hit some of their best, I Stay Away, No Excuses, and the best song on that EP - Don't Follow.

No Eagles. Never. Never, never.

Alice in Chains made music soar sometimes.
12th May 2006 02:11 PM
Factory Girl Glencar, another PM for you my dear!

Sirmoonie-they were very versatile--country, pop heavy metal, punk. Layne was a beautifil singer.

jb--Dave Navarro was in Carmen Electra.

Greet me, Billy! Greet me, Boy!

Oh I saw it....and would also like to be "in" that band..
12th May 2006 03:08 PM
Angiegirl Give me Mad Season and AIC every day, and I'm happy.

But Soundgarden should be in there as well. And Blind Melon. And... oh well.

Sirmoonie has the best bottle pic ever. I just started drinking the 15 boxes I ordered and it is great.

Dan I LOVE Soundgarden, Mudhoney, Nirvana, Green River, Skinyard, etc but Alice In Chains never really did it for me.
12th May 2006 03:26 PM
pdog Mudhoney was/is better than any Seattle band... Hendrix is the best all time from Seattle.
12th May 2006 03:45 PM
Sir Stonesalot Amen Pdoggie.

But does Jimi really count as coming out of Seattle? I mean, I know that is where he was from...but musically he came out of London...or at least the "Chitlin Circuit" down south.
