Due to the Vari-tone circuit, the 345 and 355 are less desirable and therefore more affordable than ES335. Most blues men wanting a semi-hollow played the somewhat cheaper ES345 or 355.

Now that I can understand. What does BB play and what is the Lucille sig guitar?

Thank you...

Mathijs BB kings Lucille is a modified ES-355. The vari-tone is there, but there are no f-holes and the split diamond inlay on the headstock is changed to a "Lucille" banner.

Thank You so much Mathijs ..........................

I really thought that B.B. King's Lucille was a modulated ES-385 .

Thank you again. Was aware of the lack of f-holes. Never played one.
