stonedinaustralia i've got 140 posts to go to make it to 2000 and i'm geting impatient - at the present rate it maybe some tinme before i get there

i could start flooding the board with a response to every thread no matter how asinine my posts may be but i don't want to do that

i figure if every registered member asks me one question or asks for one comment (sc or not) then i'll be there soon enough seeing as how there's over 2000 registered members

i probably have 2000 posts on the board already but the ones made before the move to novogate aren't counted
- so god knows how many posts josh and joey have if you count them as well

anyway, help old SIA get his post count up...fire away...

Snappy McJack Who are/were some of your favorite posters at Rocks Off?

and

What did you think about those 4 "new" songs on Forty Licks?

April 12th, 2004 09:57 PM
Nellcote SIA, I'm a fledgling , yet to achieve 1K in posts.
Joey is promising a large keg party when it occurs.
Anyway, how are you doing?
April 12th, 2004 10:03 PM
Gazza whats the weather like down under?

are you an idealist or a realist? Can you be both?

what do you think of John Stuart Mill's Utilitarian theory?

Which great opponent of Cartesian Dualism insists there is no point of contact between the extended and the unextended?

Kill Bill 1 or Kill Bill 2? Which is better?

Nambarrie or PG Tips? And why?

Is Corgi REALLY serious?

What does Marcellus Wallace LOOK like? Is he a bitch?

Shaven, Brazilian, Trimmed, Natural or Wolf Puss? Discuss.

Whats the air speed velocity of a swallow?

LadyJane This whole "post total" competition is sooooo ridiculous.

SIA...You ALWAYS have something pertinent to express.

Sometimes...less is better. More elegant.

Snappy McJack A 0.3 kg model rocket is launched vertically from rest at time t=0 sec. with a constant thrust of 20 N for two seconds and no thrust for t>2 seconds. Neglecting air resistance and the decrease in mass of the rocket, determine

(a) the maximum height h reached by the rocket
(b) the time required to reach this maximum height

*Draw the free body diagram of this system

------------------------------------------------------

A motor is connected to a 12.0 V battery. When it is first started, it draws a current of 6.0 A. After it has reached full speed, the current drawn is only 1.6 A. The coil in the motor has an inductance of 200 mH.

a) Find the resistance of the coil
b) Find the back EMF at full speed
c) At full speed, find the potential energy stored in the magnetic field of the coil

1. well i don't like to play favourites - but i always get a laugh out of max (and by extension joey - 'tho max must admit joey' emoticon posts - if not his own idea- were not stolen from max)and voodoo

nanker has been good to me and sirmoonie' posts are alaways worth reading

and i always enjoy nasty habits, fpmc10 and gazza's posts - mostly because their tastes coincide with mine

and all the female posters get a mention - parmeda, LJ, FG, gypsy, fotini, martha, martha my dear, jaxx, caro, angie girl, monkey woman, ~Az,i love them all(well - shinealight was the exception that proved the rule)

apologies to those of you not mentioned by name - i love youse all

i like you to snappy for being the first to respond to my request - good on you and thanx

as for the foour flicks tracks - i think "keys" and "losing my touch" are good to excellent('tho keys is a bit formualic kinda Beast of Burden revisted a bit - "don't stop = ok, Stealing my heart = not very good at all

cheers snappy - one down 139 to go!!

A. here in adelaide still warm (30 degrees C today and a bit humid) - summer took along time to kick in this time so i'm hoping the warmer weather continues through the autumn

are you an idealist or a realist? Can you be both?

Shit Gazza what a question - i do waiver between the two depending on my mood and the situation at hand - in theory i'm an idealist in parctice a realist

what do you think of John Stuart Mill's Utilitarian theory?

bloody hell - i've really asked for this haven't I - can i get back to you on this one??

Which great opponent of Cartesian Dualism insists there is no point of contact between the extended and the unextended?

again I'll have to get back to you - i left my copy of "History of Western Philosophy" at home

Kill Bill 1 or Kill Bill 2? Which is better?

for shame i'v seen neither yet - i'm not a big fan of cinemas - i like to be able to get up - laugh in inappropriate places - smoke cigaretttes - rewind bits if i miss dialouge - so i usually wait for the videos to come out - Vol. 1 should be out soon - i like tarantino so i'll probably get into it straight away - what did you think of "Jackie Brown"?

Nambarrie or PG Tips? And why?

sorry, don't understand the question

Is Corgi REALLY serious?

No.

What does Marcellus Wallace LOOK like? Is he a bitch?

well he's big and he's black - is he a bitch - well, i reckon everybody is somebody's bitch so yeah

Shaven, Brazilian, Trimmed, Natural or Wolf Puss? Discuss.

LOL!!

Whats the air speed velocity of a swallow?

velocity that's weight over speed isn't it?? and speed is distance over time - right? so i need to know how heavy is the swallow before i can give you an answer

Madafaka 1) Sabes en que idioma estoy escribiendo?

2) What is the tv advertising that more likes you at present?

3) Nike, Adidas or Reebok?

4) Mc Donald's or Burguer King?

5) What do you think about WD-40 (multiporpose lubricant)?

I'm advertiser (art director). I help you and you help me. Thank you!

si mi amigo, hablo un poco de espanol

2) What is the tv advertising that more likes you at present?

no comprende la pregunta

3) Nike, Adidas or Reebok?

Adidas m- because of the RUN - DMC connection

4) Mc Donald's or Burguer King?

the Burger King ( here known as "Hungry Jack's") make the superior burger (imo)

5) What do you think about WD-40 (multiporpose lubricant)?

not a lot i must admit but everything i have heard has been good - when you say multi purpose does that mean you can use it to lubricate your girl as well as your car??

I'm advertiser (art director). I help you and you help me. Thank you!

no than you madafaka

Okay, in 25 words or less...
When are you coming to the States?
Better yet...when are you coming to Chicago?

(30 more replies to go! I'm getting the balloons ready!)

well first parmeda congrats on YOUR 2000 posts

to answer your question - unfortunately not in the forseeable future i.e. probably not in the next 12 months but after that who knows - my only problem is since i was over there in '98 i picked up a conviction for what is usually referred to as "drink driving" (i know, i'm an idiot) and people with convictions aren't generally let in to the US - i'll have to see, however, if that one is serious enough to stop me getting in (after all it's really only a "traffic" thing - at`least that's what i tell myself)

if only i had come across this board before i was there in '98 i could have toured the whole country meeting up with my american RO friends

how about a RO summit in hawaii - we can all meet half way??

April 13th, 2004 02:56 AM
Hannalee Um. Wouldn't it be better to answer each question in a new post, rather than each poster?
April 13th, 2004 03:10 AM
stonedinaustralia hannalee - perhaps - but i don't know how many questions i'm going to get so i'll take them on a "post by post" basis and do each questioner the courtesy of an individual response

anyway, thanks for your response - that's another one down!!
