Shawn20 Thank you so much for posting this photo. I was in attendance at the old Omni. I can still recall their limo pulling up behind the stage...what a great night. Not much singing, but a great night.

time is on my side Chief

Are you sure you got the right date on this show???

I was living overseas in 1979 but I don't recall the Stones performing any concerts in 1979 let alone at the Omni in Atlanta GA. It seems to me the STONES played at the Fox in 1978. Is this some sort of guest appearance????

The only show I recall the STONES playing at the Omni was in 1975 (another show I missed due to circumstances beyond my control)

glencar New Barbarians?
10th May 2006 04:08 PM
time is on my side Yeah, it appears to be New Barbarians. Like I said I was overseas at the TIME so it's the reason I don't remember it.

The 1979 New Barbarians Tour
The New Barbarians:
Ronnie Wood (guitar, vocals, harmonica, saxiphone, pedal steel)
Keith Richards (guitar, vocals, piano)
Ian McLagan (piano, organ, backing vocals)
Stanley Clarke (bass)
Bobby Keys (saxaphone)
Joseph ‘Ziggy’ Modeliste (drums)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Canadian National Institute For The Blind Benefit Concerts:
The New Barbarians played the first part of the show through "Before They Make Me Run" at both shows. Then everyone left except for Keith. He was then joined by Mick Jagger and they played "Prodigal Son". Then the rest of the Rolling Stones came out and played the rest of the show. They were joined onstage by the remaining New Barbarians for "Jumpin' Jack Flash"

You are welcome.

Do you recall Don King doing the introduction?
It was indeed a great night.

VoodooChileInWOnderl Hey Chief! Thanks for the picture it was the header for half a day. But the header was just 39K instead of 283K see the small difference and it's just a click away!

To do that I just edit the image with paint and add a black point over a black background, then save it.
