Monkeytonk-man I liked the new tune, and I thought lonely at the top wasn't such a bad song either, hope it hasn'r been polished to death though - that would suck - i want down n dirty

Dutch Michael D. The New song, wich i dont like at the moment, is just a second Highwire, ''oh no not you again'' = Highwire
just listen...
May 10th, 2005 10:33 PM
corgi37 So thats "Lonely at the top" - crossed with "Highwire".

Not a bad combo!

Dont mind the new song at all, but Jagger's vocal was atrocious.

exile yeah I think Jaggers singing was a little off that's all

it does sound a little like lonely at the top

but BETTER........

I'm sure it will sound better when they practise it a bit more

KeepRigid I liked the sloppy singing. Very much in the vein of Some Girls era.

(But then, I think Mick's hoarse-as-hell SNL performance is one of the greatest rock and roll moments of all time.)

Now if we can just get something on the album that makes someone say, "It sounds like 'What's The Matter?'"

I like it. It shows we could get a good album. Mick says they just recently wrote this before perfoming it. As Gazza said I'm not sure if it will be their first single. Although It is a taste of what is to come.

gotdablouse "Lonely at the Top" meets "Take it so Hard" meets "Highwire", could be worse I guess, lyrics are pretty stupid though, Mick must have written that in about 30 seconds !

Still the sound is better than anytime since 1981 or maybe 1978 !
