Fiji Joe Is there any boot out there with better quality versions of the songs contained on Place Pigalle Vols. 1-4?

Mathijs Paris Outtakes Vol. I and Vol. II (VT-CD 11 and VT-CD 12) feature 17 songs in excellent quality, far better than the Place Pigalle series (which is a copy of the Paris Results series by Outsider Bird)

gotdablouse Yes but "Paris Outtakes" is the "old stuff" that became avaialable in the 80s. The "Place Pigalle" (originally an LP with that same PO material) series are indeed copies of the the OBR LPs that came out starting ion 1993 with material that had only been rumoured to exist until then (Petrol, Linda Lu, So Young, etc...).

Hard to tell why that material came out at the time, but it's probably because the Pathe Marconi studios in Boulogne (where the Stones recorded from '77 to '85) were pulled down around 1992 if memory serves.

Having said that the OBR CDs do have better quality than the PP copies, but they're impossible to find :-(
