Its seems apparent there's a need in US University departments for 6-string, blues, mainstream education.
The fact is: there really is just a smattering of it.
Why not a BS from, say, the University of Illinois, in 6-string instrument?
Perhaps because playing rock geetar is an independent behavior, and many Universities are invested in categoried ed... If it ain't pigeon-holed, it ain't lucrative to the school.
There will be no "Entrepeneur 101" classes after July.
Though independent behavior is not encouraged, irreverent behavior takes center stage at many colleges.
As I've likened my seemingly blueish-blood to irreverent acts like The Stones and Squeeze, and having been kicked out of nearly 7 of 21 of the taverns here, I'm never afraid anymore to lay my heart on the line, be independent, irreverent, not like other people, say what I feel, and hopefully pen it to paper, in song, after all.

Hey I live just 4 min away from the University of Illinois.
Sometimes I put on a new face and get me young chickie.
Then I play Don't Stop. |
