Steel Wheels That was one shit show from my seats - up against the fence in the far reaches of that toiletbowl of a venue. The rain, the mud, and amps you have to strain to hear - what a snooze fest.

I'm sure though this pro-shot gig looks and sounds fantastic. How much are you charging?
April 30th, 2004 04:52 AM
MRD8 Its free for a couple of blanks and a postage paid return mailer...

Joey " I think the time has come to offer this fantastic gem to the board...a fabulous quality proshot of The Who's July 27, 2002 Camden, NJ concert titled Exactly One Month...Joey can vouch for the quality of this one... "

THIS IS A MUST !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Trust the Joey on just this one thing ( He is being serious here on this most prodigious of message boards for the first time EVER ! )

Entitled " One Month Later " , this gig takes place one month to the day that JAE ( John Alec Entwistle , the Greatest Player EVER to pick up the Bass ) passed from this orb , and what a performance it is ................Roger and Pete play with a passion unrivaled since ..... well .................since the performances in California three weeks before and Zak is extraordinary as usual .

The quality of this Screen Feed is pristine and beautiful and the " Pro - Shot " ( am I rendundant ?!?! ) Camera Angles capture the band at their compelling and illuminating best . I played this DVD AGAIN last Saturday evening after we got home from dinner and I marvelled at how lucky we are to live in an age where top quality boots of Legendary Bands are available at our fingertips by those who are willing to share the things we know and love
with those of our kind .
Libations ...........................
Sensations .................................
That stagger the mind !

Oh My GOD !!!!!!!!!!! POEM ALERT !!!!!! GO !!!! NOW !!!! JOEY :

My back to the wall
A victim of laughing chance
This is for me
The essence of true romance
Sharing the things we know and love
With those of my kind
Libations
Sensations
That stagger the mind

I crawl like a viper
Through these suburban streets
Make love to these women
Languid and bittersweet
I'll rise when the sun goes down
Cover every game in town
A world of my own
I'll make it my home sweet home

I'll learn to work the saxophone
I'll play just what I feel
Drink Scotch whisky all night long
And die behind the wheel
They got a name for the winners in the world
I want a name when Penn State lose
They call Nebraska the Cornhuskers
Call me Stoney Blues .

This is the night
Of the expanding the man
I take one last drag
As I approach the stand
I cried when I wrote this song
Sue me if I play too long
This brother is free
I'll be what I want to be

Repeat Chorus you Bastards !

Thank You !

Take a little dope
And walk out in the air
The stars are all connected to the brain.
Find me a woman and lay down on the ground,
Her pleasure comes falling down like rain,
Get myself a car, I feel power as I fly,
Oh now I'm really in control,
It all looks fine to the naked eye,
But it don't really happen that way at all,
Don't happen that way at all.

You sign your own name and I sign mine,
They're both the same but we still get separate rooms,
You can cover up your guts but when you cover up your nuts,
You're admitting that there must be something wrong,
Press any button and milk and honey flows,
The world begins behind your neighbor's wall,
It all looks fine to the naked eye,
But it don't really happen that way at all,
Nah nah no, don't happen that way at all.

You hold the gun and I hold the wound,
And we stand looking in each other's eyes,
Both think we know what's right,
Both know we know what's wrong,
We tell ourselves so many many many lies,
We're not pawns in any game, we're not tools of bigger men,
There's only one who can really move us all,
It all looks fine to the naked eye,
But it don't really happen that way at all.

Steel Wheels A Merc is a Mercury in the good Ol' U.S.A. It goes great in the following sentence:

"I drive a 49 Merc with suicide doors"

A Mercedes is Mercedes.
May 2nd, 2004 06:43 AM
Jumping Jack Do yourself a favor and trade in your Mercedes for a Lexus. Look at any Lexus lot and see what being traded in. Mercedes has a terrible repair record in recent years, particularly with electrical problems. Check out Edmunds or any car forum on the web. The ergonomics suck as well. Not as bad as a BMW, but it still takes 3-4 steps to do a 1 step process. Try playing the radio with reading the instruction manual. Nothing is intuitive. Besides, they have taken a $100,000 S-class and made it look like a $30,000 C-class.

Mercedes are for minorities and yuppies who want to show off but don't care about value or reliability. Bling bling for fools.
May 2nd, 2004 06:46 AM
egon say what you wanna say, but a lexus is a fake mercedes.
May 2nd, 2004 07:33 AM
Steel Wheels Or just buy a '49 Merc and let the fun begin.

corgi37 And for some odd reason, come to Australia every damn year. They havent changed a bit since they had their hit. Still cant understand a bloody thing they say.

Oh, and thanks for the Who set list. My mate will be in rapture if they do "sparks". I myself want to hear Naked Eye so badly. I love the version on their "final" concert from 82. That is one gem of a song, and seeing the lyrics on this thread just shows old Petey could certainly write some A-1 lyrics.
