Hello My little Stonescicles ..................
I just got off the phone with my ' source ' who confirmed that the Rolling Stones have been booked for THE QWEST CENTER in Omaha , NE for January 2006 .
This is the same Gentleman who first informed me about Paul McCartney coming into town MONTHS before it was announced .
Word !
" BET THE RANCH RONNIE !!! "

You deserve it! Would be complete nonsense if they skipped the Brand new, spanking, state-of-the-art, 22 thousand seat, QUEST CENTER ARENA, pride of the nebraskan people.
Almost 24 hours for the press conference.....

is this the first time since that infamous show in 1964 when they booked a 15,000 seater auditorium and 300 people turned up?

Yes , this is the FIRST TIME since 1964 when a cop pulled a gun on Keith Richards backstage after witnessing Keef pour booze in his cola ----- The horror ...... the horror !!!
The Stones were escorted out of town and told NEVER to come back ( those individuals who did that to Mick & Keith have since ' disappeared ' I am told ........)
My city plans to " make it right with Keef " THIS time .
This show will sell out in ten minutes -- Guaranteed !!!!

the story I remember reading many years ago was that Keith was drinking coke backstage out of a cup, and a cop asked him what he was and he (for some reason) replied "whisky and coke". After getting lectured about how it was illegal to drink alcohol in a public place and ordered to pour it down the drain, Keith confessed it was only Coke and turned around to reason with the cop only to find a revolver being pointed between his eyes.
Realising there wasnt much room for compromise or logic, he poured his coke down the drain!
Is this Omaha '06 story genuine, Joey? |

Joey,
Have you been in touch with Fiji? If not, would you like me to touch base with him on a possible trip to your wonderful city. I am a firm "yes" for this show and think it would be cool for the three of us to meet up and kick it with the Stones. |

Great news for you guys out there...just a word of caution...better keep that big Cornhead mascot in bib overalls away from Keith!....lol |
|

Did your connection say what your share of the $3,000,000 is going to be? |

Just got an email from him. He's game to go, but is doubtful about Omaha getting a show. I have faith. If this show is announced tomorrow we must get in touch quickly to set things up.
Fingers crossed!!!!

Probably by the time they play in Omaha, they will be finishing the first North American Leg and will be heading South. 95 they played here in February, 98 they played in April. |

I'm not quite certain about the efficiency of the local police in such a monster event at a beach in Rio. That's it! |

Maracana could sell out 100k tickets easily (no seats, just the stall and field area) at reasonable prices.
I think there were almot 100 thousand people in 95. |

i hate to burst your bubble little fella, but the likelihood of the stones playing omaha is about the same as bush and putin playing "snugglebunnies" in the kremlin after the may day parade. it ain't gonna happen. if they don't play minneapolis, they ain't a gonna play omaha.
in other news, josh continues to have a meltdown at maxy's. can nothing be done? |

Starbuck .........................................
The most important thing to remember about The MaxLugar is that in real life he is a very tall / big man . He thus encompasses all the strengths and weakness of a big man.
