RICHARDS WRITES AUTOBIOGRAPHY

THE ROLLING STONES rocker KEITH RICHARDS is writing an autobiography about his time in the band and his turbulent relationships with drugs and alcohol. The guitarist, 63 - who once claimed to have snorted a combination of cocaine and his father's ashes - will reveal all about his wild life in the frank memoirs. A source says, "Keith is working on the book at the moment with his old friend, bestselling White Mischief author James Fox... It's a dream team."

Keith's a very intelligent and well read man, who has by all accounts an outstanding memory, especially considering all he's been through (although some of the things he chooses to 'remember' tend to be figments of a fertile imagination - eg the 'Muddy Waters painting the ceiling' tall tale...)

Cant even have imagined him doing an autobiography but have always thought it was something which could be potentially excellent. You only have to read or watch some of his interviews down the years to see what a sharp with and turn of phrase he has.

Agree though with whats been said about him not devoting much time to writing and finishing songs in the last decade or so. Thats pretty much irrefutable
