I'll take it! Unlike the Swedes, the Dutch valiantly resisted the Nazis.

for good reason.
This song was the 1st sign of the clinks in the Stones armour.
of course, soon after it would all quickly turn to complete shit with Shes The Boss, Live Aid, Back To Zero etc... and continued straight thru to Streets of Love

doo doo doo Dude
Love the chorus of this song, but the spoken word verses are shit.

Well, true ... But that all reflects poorly on Mick. Honestly I don't think '80s Keith comes off all that bad.
The wheels were coming off the Stones, and he did his best to keep the machine on course: his (and Ronnie's) writing on "Dirty Work" was pretty good; there was the great Chuck Berry movie project with Taylor Hackford; and not least, "Talk is Cheap."

I fucking love everything in this song. It makes me think of Thriller.
And you gotta love those 80s videos
Worried About You, She´s So Cold, She Was Hot, Undercover, Harlem Shuffle... all great ones.

Only time Keith let the times dictate him and not the other way around was in the mid 70s when he put those damn phaser effects on every single song. But other than that, even in 78 he still stayed true to his rock and roll roots, despite Jagger's Miss Yous and Lies..Some Girls the album is pure Stones. As its been said, Keith in the 80s (worst decade for modern music ?? yes, as VH peeked) made some of his best work, with Talk is Cheap and Hail Hail! being uncompromising, straight up Keith - timeless rock and roll.

I like "Too Much Blood".
Its a funky track, sounds very much of its era but thats what kind of make's it interesting. I think that it can often work well when the 'Stones incorporate a bit of what is going on around them in their music (Undercover of the Night, Miss you, Anybody seen my Baby are examples). It add's spice to a 40+ year song catalogue. However the verse's are comical. If mick was trying to be controversial with the lyrics they just came across as funny and kind of camp. He did better on "Undercover".

Not to me. Thriller is one of my favourite records. Everytime I hear TMB I imagine it with Michael Jackson´s voice.
