Gazza ...or US $1.139 billion or 834.24 million Euro for those of you too lazy to make the conversion....

The annual Sunday Times rich list of the 1,000 wealthiest people in Britain and Ireland is published today

Mick Jagger's personal wealth is estimated at £215 million, making him the 334th richest person in the UK. (last year he was 290th, with £205 million)

Keith Richards is at £190 million (tied for 375th, with Tom Jones and others)

Charlie Watts is on £90 million (joint 777th)

and "poor" Ronnie Wood is valued at a mere £75 million (joint 896th)

The Stones collective worth is therefore £570 million, with Mick Jagger being the 8th richest person in the UK entertainment industry.

The top 10 are
1. Clive Calder (£1.3 billion)
2. Andrew Lloyd-Webber £750 million)
3. Paul McCartney (£725 million)
4= Simon Fuller (£450 million)
4= Sir Cameron Mackintosh (£450 million)
6 Madonna & Guy Ritchie (£275 million)
7. Elton John (£225 million)
8. Mick Jagger (£215 million)
9. Robert Stigwood (212 million)
10= Tom Jones (£190 million)
10= Keith Richards (£190 million)

Charlie is 28th and Ronnie joint 32nd with Brian May and George Michael.

Others include: Sting (12th on £185 million), Olivia & Dhani Harrison (joint 14th on £160 million), Clapton and Ringo (joint 17th on £140 million), Bowie (joint 20th on £120 million), Rod Stewart (23rd on £105 million), Page & Plant (joint 35th on £70 million)

U2 are the richest Irish entertainers with a collective worth of £487 million split five ways between the four band mambers and manager Paul McGuinness. Their collective worth makes them 20th in Ireland

That's almost half a billion dollars. Not too surprising though, considering he's been at it over 40 years and they're the Greatest Show On Earth.

Amazing that you can make more money off a few cheesy musicals than off 40 years of rock'n'roll circus. Anyway, I suppose the list would look different if Allen Klein didn't own the rights to some of the most famous songs -- have there been any estimates of Allen Klein's fortune?

Not really. Its commercially more popular in many cases and a musical can run simultaneously in different cities around the world for years at a time. Then you can add in the profits from the soundtrack records plus the fact that most of his musicals get made into movies.

Plus, he's also been doing it for about 40 years now, and always very successfully.

he'd rather be behind him than in front of him, I would think......

Maybe this is why he keeps touring - because he wants to overtake him...

Mick paid quite a lot to his previous wives/conquests, while Elton's lovers kept their mouth shut. That's probably the reason.
Besides....Elton has a funeral-charge that surpasses Micks holiday-income.

tumbled I can't believe there are 333 other people in the UK that are richer than Mick. I mean what do you have to do to beat Mick. and also how come Keith has 25 million less? is it cuz he has more houses and spends more $? and could they have done without ronnie and charlie? it doesn't seem fair but the multiplier effect is powerful I'm sure

I bet Mick wins more because he's on charge of the Stones, he drives the whole circus, completely fair IMO.

Mick and Keith get more due to publishing royalties.

It doesnt seem fair? They're worth over a billion dollars between them!!

Bitch Ronnie Wood has the potential to top the charts. Speaking with a NY art gallery dealer, I was told some of Woody's large oils are selling for over $1,000,000.00 US$! RONNIE has lots of paintings left to sell, all over the world, which are rising in value as we speak! Anyone who bought a Woody when they were going for a few hundred made a good investment!

Mel Belli I can't believe no one has complained that McCartney is worth more alone than the Stones combined.
