Zack Where's the love for Tommy? I know it's not the best Who album in terms of songwriting or performance, but I think it may be my favorite. The Overture gives me chills. Seriously.
5th May 2006 10:31 AM
gimmekeef Wheres Joey with all this goin on?
5th May 2006 10:40 AM
charlotte I think he is holding back for a major explosion! Stay clear, at least 250 miles in all directions

Quadrophenia,Who's Next,Who By Numbers,Odds & Sods
5th May 2006 10:58 AM
Lethargy Who's Next
Qhadrophenia
Tommy

The rest, frankly, all sucks in my opinion. There are some good singles sprinkled throughout their career, but for full albums, I think they all suck but these three.

Joey, will you still greet me someday? After all, three ain't bad.

Casey_WGDJ I can't decide between Quadrophenia and Who's Next. They're both awesome albums. My favourite depends on my mood, I guess. If I want to hear a shorter album, it's Who's Next. If I want a long album, it's Quad.

Honestly, though, one of the very best Who records I own is the double CD "official bootleg" of the show I saw in 2004. It's AWESOME. I was being told to sit down all night, just like when I saw the Stones (seriously...), but it was still a great show... and the CDs prove it to me again and again! :-)

StickyFishFingers too hard to pick between Quadrophenia and Who's next.

"out of my brain on the train" love it.

was totally blown away when i realised Steph in Quad. the movie is none other than 'Debs' from Men behaving badly.

Joey

There is no such thing as a BAD WHO ALBUM

Even " It's Hard " contains the classic " Eminence Front " & " Athena " whilst Dirty Work reveals not one single .....

..... W - W- W- What ?!?! ............... Oh , sure ! :

1. Who's Next
2. Quadro -- it blows doors
3. Who Are You
4. Tommy
5. Empty Glass
6. All The BEST Cowboys have Chinese Eyes

What? Really? Git da fuh.

Can someone post some comparison pics?

That movie rocked too, and the unreleased Quadro tunes on it were super fine!

Steamboat Bill, Jr. Like most everyone else, I think Quad is the best.

After that, Who's Next, and a toss-up between Tommy and Sell Out.
5th May 2006 05:41 PM
Twostoned Who's Next
5th May 2006 06:26 PM
Spru Who's Next or Quadro...too close to call.
5th May 2006 07:43 PM
lotsajizz The Kenny Jones-era is under-rated....yes the band did not with as much virtuosity, but Townshend wrote some of his best songs then. My fave Who lyric is 'Just Another Tricky Day'.

Great!!

Although it is terrific, nowadays I think of Quadrophenia as... um... a bit melodramatic. Maybe it has to do with having an actual sex life?

Here you go mate, hopefully the comparison pics are appearing in my avatar window. I think she (Leslie Ash) is still hot. A bit of trivia - her sister Debbie Ash is also an actor & has appeared in shows including The Bill, & Red Dward. But the one I think is her most proudest achievement is being a member of Kenny Everett's dance troupe - Hot Gossip

StickyFishFingers Last attempt - don't know why my pics aren't appearing anymore. WTF. I can email it to you if it doesn't work this time.

Ten Thousand Motels Yesterday is yesterday.

Whos Next
Live @ Leeds
Quadrophenia

They need to shit or get off the pot. And Kenny Jones doesn't hold a candle to Keith Moon. Not anything against Kenny Jones but you just can't fill them kinda shoes.

Honky Tonk Man Who's Next

I've always really liked My Generation too. Its well worth getting the deluxe edition The Kids Are Alright and A Legal Matter are worth the price alone.
