Topic: Some Thoughts on a Rainy Sunday Afternoon Return to archive
30th April 2006 06:03 PM
Joey Hello Dear Stonesian Readers ...........

Since it is such a cool , damp , rainy afternnon here in the Midwest ....... I decided to write down ' Some Stonesian Thoughts ' ..... Please , my Brothers & Sisters .... Enjoy ! :

Because we are all Stones' fans , We are above all others.
Understand , however , We are completely sympathetic to other individuals' tastes though .
Sticky Fingers is better than any groups best album.
ABB is NOT !

Keith may have broken a few bones whilst fooling around in Fiji , but don't look for this mishap to be the end of the tour .
If anything , Keef will bounce back even stronger while Charlie will STILL be good tonight and EVERY night .

Beast of Burden sounds even better acoustic
MUCH better than Sweet Virginia in my opinion.
All About You is a waste of vinyl.
Undercover of the Night is a HOT tune .
Sucking in the 70's is their weirdest release.
Everything is Turning to Gold saves it .. barely !

Get Up , Get Out is great advice .
Only sometimes I am too damn drunk to do that .
Richard or Richards ?!?!..... discuss .

Can You Hear the Music is wonderful mood music.
Only when I am laying down do I appreciate THAT one .
Run , do not walk , to your CD Player NOW !
Respect the power inside . Stones music is infectious .
Under my skin it stays ... like a pleasurable rash.
Please give Steel Wheels another listen tonight !
To crank Terrifying is one of life's greatest gifts .

I thank you all for your time today .

Jacky !

Spru Some interesting thoughts there. I agree with most, particularly that Sticky Fingers is better than any other band's best album, Keith will bounce back stronger after his mishap, and that Undercover is a hot tune. I might even crank Terrifying tonight, but currently I'm listening to Bridges, which I feel is an underappreciated solid album.

lotsajizz I love ya Joey, but

"Love is a mystery I can't demystfy, oh no..." is the worst piece of shit lyric they've ever committed to a song...

that song blows....one of only four or five in their entire catalog

no it isn`t, it is Keith best ballad he ever played live in the last years. Keith set during the B2B tour was the best anyway (AAY and IWHY)- imo.

J.J.Flash Some here called me lunatic when I remarked: "He" is the best thing that this Message Board has produced ever...... I still have the same opinion, it's clear and available for anyone to notice how great the mind of this American Citizen is.

Carry on Joseph!

P.S.: Unfortunately, I'm just lurking lately, nothing compared to my efforts here in the past, but I shall always pay homage to this fellow.
