Former Rolling Stone Bill Wyman thinks it's time his ex-band mates called it a day.
Last night 69-year-old Wyman, the group’s bass guitarist until 13 years ago, said their current World tour was "foolish".
And he reckoned Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, both 62, were just doing it
"Because they needed to have people telling them how great they are"
He added: "It's time they gave up. I don’t miss the adulation in my life. I think Mick and Keith need it in theirs. They need to be adored daily".
The guitarist, who now enjoys metal detecting also revealed he had been to see the band only twice since he left the Stones.
"I only go to see the crew and the staff really but it’s just like going to see any other show for me".
The Stones often referred to as "The Strolling Bones", have a combined age of 246.

Bill says he doesn't need the adulation but he definitely seems to need the attention. As his flame of life dies out, he could choose to be gracious or....

Is Bill mentally ill?
I mean seriously!
Not two months ago the guy was ready to play with them again.
Now, they look foolish and should hang it up!
Personally, I think all the bad pussy has gone to his brain! |

I'm afraid he is probably right.
If they can't gear down and play something different without the greatest hits cash cow, they should wind it up very soon. It's been the greatest ride in rock n' roll.
p.s. - Keith : STOP FUCKING CLIMBING THINGS !!!!!!!!!!!! |

Fine I hope I don't miss the Brussels affair because of Keith's fall from a coconut tree. |

Old Sourpuss. But I make it a point not to get involved in anyone elses family problems. I got no horse in this race.
Keep On The Sunny Side:
June Carter Cash.
Well there's a dark and a troubled side of life.
There's a bright and a sunny side too.
But if you meet with the darkness and strife,
The sunny side we also may view.
Keep on the sunny side, always on the sunny side,
Keep on the sunny side of life.
It will help us every day, it will brighten all the way,
If we keep on the sunny side of life.
Oh, the storm and its fury broke today,
Crushing hopes that we cherish so dear.
Clouds and storms will in time pass away.
The sun again will shine bright and clear.
Keep on the sunny side, always on the sunny side,
Keep on the sunny side of life.
It will help us every day, it will brighten all the way,
If we'll keep on the sunny side of life.
Let us greet with a song of hope each day.
Though the moments be cloudy or fair.
Let us trust in our Saviour always,
To keep us, every one, in His care.
Keep on the sunny side, always on the sunny side,
Keep on the sunny side of life.
It will help us every day, it will brighten all the way,
If we'll keep on the sunny side of life.
If we'll keep on the sunny side of life.

Extremely well said Pdog.
Bill often passes for the old fart he probably is, but he dares to say things that hurt!

I think he makes a good point.
Keith's falling out of the tree onto a jet ski and crashing, has made me think alot about the band.
They made a shitty album, are charging incredibly high prices to see a good show. I need great from them, anything less is going backwards.
The sad thing is, I think they could do better... Why they aren't is a matter for discussion, and argument.
They're not giving it 100%.
Bill's right, it's for their egos... They could give it 100%... Untli they do something great, I know they're capable of, I'm not giving them my money. If they're going to keep going putting out 75% effort, then they better offer my a 30% discount if they want my ass at another show!
I agree but this is nothing new. The Glimmers have ALWAYS been like that. |
