I noticed Charlie My Darling is over 5 gb. after downloading, can the video be separated onto 2 discs since a regular dvd only holds 4.5 gb?

DVDFab Platinum will "Split a DVD-9 into two DVD discs, and preserve menus on both discs." It is very easy to use and does a good job, I've used it several times.

Info: http://www.dvdidle.com/dvd-fab-platinum.htm

Tutorial: file:///c:/PROGRA~1/DVDFAB~1/tutorial.htm

PS: Do a search at "isoHunt" ( http://isohunt.com/ ) and you will find torrents for it!

-You could also use DVD Shrink (http://www.dvdshrink.org/) to compress to one disc. There would be very little quality loss since it is only 5.5 GB and would not be compressed too much. (DVD Shrink is free!)

A nice sugestion when people announces new stuff on the tracker would be to give some info about the audio quality and lineage, I mean, soundboard, audience, etc ...

So ... is this a soundboard recording or an audience one ?

Thanks

Carlos Pigozzi Wich is the LA DVD without time code ? There are two torrent files for the same show but I don't know wich is wich .... plus if it's the same show except that one is widescreen without timecode ... why there's almost a 1GB difference ? Worst compression on the one sized 2.54GB or something ?

Good question, I believe the widescreen version is the LA 10-19-89 DVD not the memorial coliseum, because of the date that it was uploaded and MrD usually has the complete date in the torrent title.
15th April 2006 08:49 PM
MRD8 The LA October 19, 1989 DVD that I uploaded this morning has no timecode and is NTSC, Proshot and Widescreen...I don't know anything about the lineage on 99.9% of the hundreds of audio/video's that I have...

icetea POISONIVY !

Thanks for the Bridges at the HUBERT show. I was at that show and never thought I would hear that again. Sister Morphine was great, and we were on our feet and screaming for the last 4 or 5 songs. This is the show where the bridge got stuck and Mick was running on this for at least the first song on the B-stage.

How would you rate the audio quality from 1 to 10 ?
Sorry but we don't know anything about these recently torrents, lineage, AUD/SBD, auido quality, nothing.

You're talking about "charlie is my darling" DVD ??
OK!
According to my standards I would give a 6.5-7 /10 for the entire DVD
Complete "ready steady go" is OK - sound and video are quite good- 7.5-8/10
"charlie is my darling" movie is not perfect but you can't say that video and sound are really crappy.Anyway I've never seen it somewhere else on DVD. 6-6.5/10
Bonus footages contain very rare stuffes like "rolling stones gather moss" report so even if quality is far from perfect it's worthy enough to be downloaded.5.5-6/10
Interviews are OK : 7/10
The very last 3 songs taken from "marquee 71" are crap just because bootleggers have fucked up the end of the DVD.Sound and video are not synchronized. 4/10

I've spent 30 hard earned euros for this DVD and I don't have any regret. It's a nice document about the early years.

Please don't ask me for artwork : I don't have a scan so you'll have to search Google for it.
