Nästan genomgående fick Rolling Stones lysande recensioner för sina spelningar under förra turnén. Med i bagaget hade Stones då samlingsplattan "40 licks" med fyra nyskrivna låtar. När de låtarna spelades in spelades ytterligare 22 låtar in.

WickedMessenger Here´s a rough translation:

Rolling Stones to play in Sweden.

The Stones are about to release a new album and will start a 9 month tour.
They will return to Sweden in 2005.

The Stones got rave reviews last time they toured after the release of "40 licks" which
contained 4 new songs. During the recording of those 4 songs, another 22 were recorded.
These are the songs the Stones are now working on.

The last part is a quote from a Swedish Stones fan/friend of the band who says that the band
seems pleased with the material and will continue in the studio until end of april.

Here is the translation that I got from my Swedish friend Little Queenie.

Rolling Stones are going to play in Sweden LONDON. Expressen (Swedish newspaper, my comment) can today reveal that the Rolling Stones are relaesing a new album and will go on a nine month long tour. The successful rockers are back in Sweden in 2005e. The Rolling Stones got splended reviews from almost everybody for their concerts last tour. The Stones had then the Greatest Hits "40 licks" with four new songs. When those songs were recorded, 22 more songs were also recorded at the same time. Those are the songs The Rolling Stones are now working on. In the beginning of March Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ron Wood met in Paris to discuss the future. LONG TOUR Ove "Brandis" Tingvall, who previsouly worked in Expressen, is friends of the members. He says that the band seems satisfied with the material and that they will continue working in the studio until late April. The plan is to release the album in fall 2004. If they are ready, they will start a tour in the end of this year, otherwise it will be spring 2005 - says Tingvall. Then awaits a nine month tour starting in USA. The Stones will be at places like Scandinavium and Globen (The Globe, Stockholm) this time, he concludes.

caro That would imply that they're in the studio right now, wouldn't it? Since everyone seems to agree they record in Paris, I doubt the article is true. If they were really in Paris, I think one of us would've found some blurb about Mick in Paris nightclubs or whatever -- I can't imagine they're being so recluse that no french journalist has seen them. Besides, would Keith make the trip from Paris to New Orleans just for the jazz festival? I dunno but it doesn't sound too logical to me.
