nicky The Rolling Stones are to announce details of their new world tour next week, and will land an airship in New York to mark the announcement.

The legendary rock and roll band, who have not toured for three years, have charted the airship and are currently awaiting approval from America's aviation chiefs.

A spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration commented: We're trying to accommodate that request.

They plan to fly into Van Cortlandt Park in New York next Tuesday before making the announcement to the gathered throng of fans and press.

There are still no confirmed reports of the dates and locations of the tour, which is expected to be accompanied by a retrospective of the band's career, rather than a new album.

On June 16, 2001 the hit counter of the WET page was inserted here, it had 174,489 hits. Now the hit counter is for both the page and the board. The hit counter of the ITW board had 1,127,645 hits when it was closed and the Coolboard didn't have hit counter but was on line only two months and a half.
