Lucinda's tribute to her Mother who died a couple years ago tells of her sadness over that loss. It's a gorgeous loving tune.
Peace.
Artist/Band: Williams Lucinda
Lyrics for Song: Mama You Sweet
Lyrics for Album: West
I love you Mama you sweet
I love you Mama you sweet
I love you Mama you sweet
I love you Mama you sweet
I love you Mama you sweet
With an ocean in my spirit
And cracks on my lips
And scars in my heart
And this burden on my hips
Ocean becomes heavy and tries
To push its way out
Through these ancient eyes
And the memories in my mouth
Ocean becomes tears
That ebb and flow
Over the lines in my face
And the pain in my soul
And pain hits a wall
And doesn't know which way to go
And ocean says I'm crying now
And tells pain to follow
And pain courses through
Every vein, every limb
Trying to find a way out
Between the secrets in my skin
And secrets hold on
Until they finally give in
And they meet up with ocean
And tears again
And tears hand me a shovel
Saying break beneath the crust
That binds earthly skin
And buries all the trust
Somehow trust was caught
Between the cracks on my lips
And the scars in my heart
And this burden on my hips
I love you Mama you sweet...

If you are in any way making light of my feelings, I urge you to rethink what you are posting.
Losing a Parent is NO picnic.
Regardless of the age of the Parent or the Child.
There is a very thin line between the irreverance that we love about RO and utter tastleslessness.
Sorry.
Touchy subject for many of us.
LJ.
agreed. Thanks.

I am so sad for Keith. In so many ways he is such a Momma's boy. He's an only child.
I'll keep Keith and the Richards family in my thoughts.
RIP Doris Richards. May the Good Lord shine a light on you. Thank you.

RIP Mrs Richards and sympathies to all of Keith's family
For those who feel the need to be 'funny' and 'irreverent', an obituary thread isnt an appropriate place to do it. Thanks.

Doris must have been a fun-loving lady; take a look at the smile and that flowered dress. She lived a long life, enjoyed the company of many beautiful grandchildren and saw her only child grow to legend/god status. And Keith gave her the most precious gift of all by outliving her. Condolences are in order, but so is gratitude for and from all concerned.

Let us not forget that Doris raised Keith's daughter Angela when he and Anita were too out of it to do so properly.
That's a lot to ask of a grandmother.

RIP Doris Richards. I always thought she must have been a great woman, supporting and loving her son through all, helping him out in the bad times (with Angela) and being there. It doesn't matter how old the person you lose is, especially if she's your mother, but it's nice that she's had a full, long life. And yes, she raised a hell of a kid.
My heart goes out to Keith and her grankids of course and all the people who loved her.

Lovely woman by all accounts, KEEF was lucky to have her for so many years and she will be dearly missed. RIP Doris. Let's hope KEEF keeps his spirits up for the upcoming tour, I hope his heart stays with it and he doesnt slip into a low point. Losing a parent takes time to adjust, months or years, and you never really get over it, no matter what the age or condition. On the other hand, KEEF may use this as a reason to delve into the music with deeper passion, as MICK did when his father died last year. It must be hard for them, Ronnie's brother, MICK's father, and now KEEF'S mother. All lost close family members during the ABB tour, and the name ABB is very ironic. Going out with a bang, the end is always a new beginning.
