Topic: Stones Classic Rice Krispies Ad Return to archive
28th April 2006 11:03 PM
Highwire Rob The latest issue of RS magazine listed this YouTube.com path for the Stones '64 cereal commercial.

No Stones are shown in the video--but on audio, Mick sure gets bluesy on Snap, Crackle & Pop. And man, that's some mean harp!

Wake up in the morning and there's a crackle in your face! Yeah brotha!

And that Snap comes on to tell me
How white my shirts can be!

Zambero Yes, it's Brian on harp all right. He also got a writing credit on this one, with a working title of "Wake Up In the Morning".

Thanks for the clarification, lotsajizz. Does anyone know what they would have got paid for this ad? That JWT printed on the archived film is obviously the historied J. Walter Thompson. We must have been talking some serious ad bucks here and plenty of freebie Krispie boxes! Or was Mick more of a porridge and Wheatabix type lad?
