Throw Rag is so great live!
I need to get some perspective. This thread is fresh on the heels of my thinking about this very topic earlier today. I had the new Drive By Truckers playing, it's like a week old. How can I say it's the best so far. It's my favorite right now.

Soldatti ABB
Bowie - Heathen
Zep - How The West Was Won

pdog I base this list on stuff I bought and listened to so much, that it popped right into my head. I probably bought over 200 albums released since 2000... and there's alot of stuff I brought that was old, but new to me... It's fellow freaks on these boards that intoduce me to alot of bands. The only obstacles are money and the time to soak it all in...

Rainy Day Saints - Saturday’s Haze (every Stones fan would love this)
Ryan Adams - Love Is Hell
Beck - Sea Change
Joe Strummer & The Mescaleros - Streetcore
LF & The Bastards - Viking
Stiff Little Fingers - Guitar And Drum

Holy shit! I heard that somewhere but sorta spaced it off. Been one of my favorite bands for a long time, seen them about 15-20 times, going back to way before they even had a washboard player (1995) but I guess I just haven't been paying attention lately. Damn.

Highwire Rob pdog, in your first footer (Ms. CleavageandSmile) what is that strange protuberance making its way out of the lower-right corner of the pic? You could see it a bit more when there were additional frames in the gif motion.

Is it her pet Gila Monster?
