Nellcote Just found this band from a review in our local paper.
Kind of rootsy sounding.
Anyone here know of them?

Lazy Bones Not a thing...

However, I'll be seeing them 17th May in Toronto when they open for the Black Crowes.

Sir Stonesalot I saw them a while back. 22-20s, Jet, Kings of Leon. They were first on and third best. But they didn't suck, and they are certainly worth checking out, IMO.

Their record was only on import for a while, I don't know if it's been released in the States yet. They have a sorta bluesy type sound. Not bad. They are young, so they have some room to get better. A band to watch in the future, they could get real good.

Nellcote SS, thanks for the lowdown.
From the clips I've heard, seems worth grabbing the
disc I read the review on.
Sometimes this new stuff just hits me the right way, as does some of the thrashing metal my 15 yr old is force feeding me with names such as:
RECEIVING END OF SIRENS
CIRCA SURVIVE
AS TALL AS LIONS
DRIVING IN SILENCE

Heard of any of these?

No ...........

Nellcote , Have you heard of BRIGHT EYES ?!?!?!

W- W- W- What ?!?! ......Oh , sure ! :

BRIGHT EYES LYRICS

"When The President Talks To God"

" When the president talks to God
Are the conversations brief or long?
Does he ask to rape our women’s' rights
And send poor farm kids off to die?
Does God suggest an oil hike
When the president talks to God?

When the president talks to God
Are the consonants all hard or soft?
Is he resolute all down the line?
Is every issue black or white?
Does what God say ever change his mind
When the president talks to God?

When the president talks to God
Does he fake that drawl or merely nod?
Agree which convicts should be killed?
Where prisons should be built and filled?
Which voter fraud must be concealed
When the president talks to God?

When the president talks to God
I wonder which one plays the better cop
We should find some jobs. the ghetto's broke
No, they're lazy, George, I say we don't
Just give 'em more liquor stores and dirty coke
That's what God recommends

When the president talks to God
Do they drink near beer and go play golf
While they pick which countries to invade
Which Muslim souls still can be saved?
I guess god just calls a spade a spade
When the president talks to God

When the president talks to God
Does he ever think that maybe he's not?
That that voice is just inside his head
When he kneels next to the presidential bed
Does he ever smell his own bullshit
When the president talks to God?

I doubt it

I doubt it ........ "

Nellcote I recall the famous comedy trio from the 30's
using "Brito" with great success.
"Makes old bodies look like new"
Messers Howard, Fine & Howard
Commonly known as Moe, Larry & Curly

Honky Tonk Man I think Sir Stonesalot could be right.

Back in the day when I used to have long hair and I used to buy the NME, they were one of the hyped bands, but I haven't heard much about them recently.
