Jerry Hall's Post-Divorce Therapy
April 19 2005
Jasmeen Vella
Former supermodel Jerry Hall admitted she is still undergoing therapy to help her get over the divorce with her former husband Mick Jagger.
The couple, who welcomed four children during their 22-year relationships, split in 1999. However, if originally the 48-year-old blonde was was seeking counselling and felt like a victim, now she says she simply enjoys the sessions and feels they have helped her learn more about herself.
"Getting a divorce is a terrible thing for anyone. It's so disappointing," Hall was quoted by FemaleFirst.co.uk as saying.
"But I handled it as best I could. I think I was quite depressed at the beginning and therapy helped me to cope. I could probably cope perfectly well without going to a therapist now. But I enjoy it.
"For me, it's all part of getting to know myself and getting stronger. And I do think that if you've been in an unhappy relationship for a long time, you certainly don't want to do it again."
Meanwhile, the model-turned-actress who has made controversial appearances on the London stage playing parts in The Graduate and The Vagina Monologues, confesses she prefers sleeping with mature partners as they have more sexual experience. At the same time, she admits that young lovers also have their advantages.
"I've discovered that older men are better in bed because they have more experience of what they are doing, while the toyboys need a lot of training and instruction before they get things right,» revealed the stunning Texan, according to Contactmusic.com.
"Younger men are very keen which is a good thing. They want to please you and they are eager to see you satisfied."
