Surround Sister If Mick share nuff genes with Jo,
we could maybe expect thirty years more with him
in frontline... Whatcha sayin Ron & Keef?

Gazza those photos seem to be taken at Mick's mother's funeral which was about 5 years ago

The pic posted by TTM is from Mick's visit to Buckingham Palace in December 2003 to receive his knighthood

really. i thought micks mom died a long time ago. hhowd she die?

prism Eva Jagger's heart gave out. I think she was about 85. Mick will probably make it over 80, Keith will too if he quits smoking. Ron is in routine precautionary pre-tour rehab, it's nothing to get alarmed about.
April 14th, 2005 09:36 PM
Gazza thanks as always for the enlightening info. Good to see you're still in 'touch' ;-)

Surround Sister To iluvmickjagger07;
Basil "Joe" Jagger was a gymnastics/athletic teacher.
he once had a TV show which aim was to make the British become more healthy. To demonstrate moments & movements he used his sons; and thatīs said to be the first time Mick behaved in front of a camera.
Even during Little Boy Blue & The Blue Boys-era Basil could prevent Mick from goin out before he had made his exercises.

Do you know what was the season when she died and how she died?

[Edited by sun]
April 18th, 2005 04:54 AM
Gazza the season??? Christ..

well I think it was early in 1996 because it was mentioned in the 'Beggars Banquet' official fan club magazine around that time.

No idea what happened to her, but I'm sure she would have been in her '80's....

thanks for the intresting info. i didnt know he had his own tv show.
im glad joe made mick exercise.
April 19th, 2005 06:48 PM
Gazza He didnt have his own TV show. He was a schoolteacher who taught physical instruction.

There was a 'magazine' type sports show called "Seeing Sport". Joe just happened to take part in a feature in one programme in 1957 which gave instructions and tips on rock climbing to schoolchildren. Presumably the kids were from his local school as one of them happened to be Mick.

Surround Sister Gazza, now you are on a besserwisser-mood, arent you?
I have another version.
If it didnt happen to be Basils own show; still he performed on tv, and Mick (and Chris, Iīve heard) was there.
Noone of us can remember it ourself, can we?

Perhaps our memory is not the best to consult here, but there still exist that little clip of young Mick coming out of a tent, right? I remember seeing that once in a stupid programme of famous people caught by a camera before their success or something. Or was I drunk?
