Factory Girl Scope,

I bought Magnavox MDV 421SL dvd player to use as my cd player. However, I have not been able to find any reviews about it. What do you know about this particular dvd player? It supposed to play cdr-rw, vcd, Dvd+R, DVD+RW.

Thanks!

scope Hey FG, I don't know of this specifically, and couldn't find any reviews online, but in case you didn't know, Magnavox is made by Philips, which makes great stuff. I did check out the specs for this and it will play everything you want (MP3 discs too).

The only down side of this one is that it doesn't say that it will play DVD -R. If someone were to burn you a DVD of a show, and they have a DVD -R burner, it might not play in your player. I say 'might not' since some players do play both formats, regardless of what the specs say. Since Philips is backing the DVD +R format, they won't mention the other format in their specs.

Hook it up, crank it up and enjoy the music!
