Hi Folks
One time for all can someone has the right
answer at the following mystery:
CHICAGO NOVEMBER 16, 1969 - One OR two shows ?
Some very serious books like James Karnbach
for example say one show only but some other
of course say two !
I've never found anywhere something to proove
the correct answer. Maybe you !
All answers most welcome

They did two shows. They also did 2 shows day before in Champagne, IL. The 1st show that day (15 November, in Champagne) is the source for "Cocaine On A Dentist Chair" (VGP-068).
You will find mistakes in all books. Try to reference several.

I forgot to add, both shows on the 16th November in Chicago, IL. were at the International Amphitheater.
Chicago was one of 6 cities on the tour that had two shows the same day - L.A., Oakland, Champagne, New York and Boston were the others.

And don't forget: tiny Auburn, Alabama rated 2 1969 shows as well. |

Indeed, on 14 November. I also missed Detroit on the 24th. |

Detroit is another tricky, unsettled one. I have a concert ad and various press reviews that mention only 1 show there.

Hi there
First, thanks to all for your answers...
Have you something to proove that they did two
shows in Chicago on November 16, 1969 ( a book
or a web site for example ) ?
If they did 2 shows at this date do you know what
tape is surfaced on CDR. The 1st or the 2nd show ?
What a great mystery !
Thanks again
Francky

Well, as mentioned above, you'll achieve greatest accuracy if you reference several sources. Personally, one I prefer using Gazza's setlist page - especially with this particular question. Gazza's page(s) is a wealth of knowledge which should help in this case as he provides well-rersearched, accurate information regarding circulation.
As Rocks Off has been experiencing technical problems over the last few days, I, for one, can't access that page. Gerardo indicated that the problem(s) may be corrected as early as today (with the long, Easter weekend).
