As were all the time talking, I thought you knew me enough. Sorry.
I can understand Madafaka, its because I didn't want anything from his bootlist, but you? Come on!
I brought a Coldplay lyrics for you. It begins like this...
Green Eyes
Honey you are a rock
Upon which I stand
And I come here to talk
I hope you understand
That green eyes
Yeah the spotlight shines upon you
And how could anybody deny you
I came here with a load
And it feels so much lighter
Now I met you
And honey you should know
That I could never go on without you
Green Eyes
Honey you are the sea
Upon which I flow
And I came here to talk
I think you should know
That green eyes,
You're the one that I wanted to find
And anyone who tried to deny you
Must be out of their mind
Because I came here with a load
And it feels so much lighter
Since I met you
And honey you should know
That I could never go on without you
Green Eyes
Green Eyes
Ooh ooh ooh ooh
Ooh ooh ooh ooh
Ooh ooh ooh ooh
Hope you like Coldplay. I do.

The only number you must to know is your REAL IP ADDRESS, the one that you always say is DINAMIC. So, is this damn IP number is dynamic, the only way to build this, is posting this number here and when you reboot your computer, this IP will change again, so you have to inform this again. I don't know if the service provided by NO-IP, you be able to run FTP freely. I think you must pay when you want to build a FTP Server. Anyway, I'm waiting to contact a German friend of mine who have a FTP and must use the NO-IP services.
After all that I told you about FTP configurations in my last posts, you only must do by yourself, know your "dynamic" IP in the time of the connection. |

Ok, Jay Jay, I got it. Ive been doing what you said since last friday and doesnt work.
Heres what happens when i type ipconfig:
Microsoft Windows 2000 [Verso 5.00.2195]
(C) Copyright 1985-2000 Microsoft Corp.
C:\>ipconfig
Configurao de IP do Windows 2000
Ethernet adaptador Conexo de rede local:
Sufixo DNS especfico de conexo . : lan
Endereo IP. . . . . . . . . . . . : 10.0.0.139
Mscara de sub-rede. . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.248
Gateway padro . . . . . . . . . . : 10.0.0.138
Using a little proggie from that NO-IP company, I know my IP right now is 200.203.79.168.
Again, sorry for yesterday, Jay Jay. Dont take me so serious!

Well, now I'm sure that this is your real IP address, the dynamic IP. So, you must configure your FTP server, choosing this number on the "combo box" IP ADDRESS. About another configuration details, I presume that you already did it.
To perform a test if you desire, contact me now.
About yesterday, don't worry, forget. |
|
vampire |
Thanks JJF, I'll check tonite. I don't think I have that combo option. I let you know, anyway.

Vampire, feel free to ask when you need. Sorry, but I am not having to much free time to do a FTP by myself at home, to perform this kind of technical testing. But I'm still here, trying to help with your questions. |

I will talk to the phone company guys (which i use to access internet) to see whats goin on.

"I've got it..." Straight to the point babe. You found the problem. Congratulations!
Probably (of course), this closed doors are due to your computer is behind a firewall. The great question now is about how this works, when using this kind of service (high-bandwidth). I don't know how you can use this closed doors, since that is a limitation from your ISP. I don't remember how you could do it with this problem, having closed doors.
Let me know your talking with the "Brasil Telecom" guys.
Later! |

JJ,
I think the word is port, not door, heh?
They (phone company) did that because they're bastards. This girl friend of mine told me I have to ask them change my modem configuration. I will do that. I will ask. I can't do it by my own. Ater this, the problem will be solved. Finally!!!
Hey BabeMo, call her friends to gimme a little hand here!

Of course, I've told you "mude a porta 21 para 2121" when I was talking about this port maybe would be "limited", due to the service provided by your ISP. |
|
J.J.Flash |
Also, when a port is in use, you can see the open (used) ports at the moment, typing 'netstat -na' in the DOS PROMPT.
Right? For example, to test this tool, type this when you don't nothing in internet, so, after, run your WEB BROWSER, or log in a FTP Server and type this command again. So, you will see more running ports in the list. Understand?
NETSTAT -NA |

Yes, understood, Jay Jay
About that word, I wrote it wrong, not you, I know.
Thank you.

Jay Jay,
Here we go again:
I learned how to change my modem (btw, Alcatel Speed Touch Pro)configuration and open all ports. Even so, that doesnt change the IP dynamic problem.
Ive been talking to phone company, and they tell me if I want to an static IP, I have to pay lots more:
Now Im paying $99,00 month by my 600 Kb conection with IP dynamic. To get a static IP 300 Kb (only half) the coast is 209,00/month.
Any suggestions? I really dont know anymore what to do.

Dear Vampire, the only free and simple solution that I know is to tell us the "IP of the day" here in a dedicated POST. Do you remember? I wrote that before. The other possible solution includes the service provided by NO-IP, which I believe, FTP "redirection" isn't a part of the free service. |
|
J.J.Flash |
Let's try. For a while, write a new POST and day by day, tell the IP number (I mean, 1 time per day, because I suppose you only will shutdown your computer between 12:00 AM and 06:00 AM).
Anyway, I know you are a busy man, so, tomorrow I'll try to find out more info about the NO-IP service.
Relax! |
|
vampire |
JJF
I will not shutdown my PC, its all the time on, btw.
Try this, please
200.203.79.230
port 2121
As anonymous user...If you get, you will find then some boots. The port 2121 is open right now, 0049 down here in Brazil.
Thanks.
I go to sleep now. Too fucking tired.

Good morning. Well, now (09:00 AM) I'm trying to get access using this IP number, but I can't open this HOST. So today, Saturday, after 14:00, I'll be here on Internet. Send me a message and I'll try again. See ya!
Later! |
|

Please, try 200.203.10.61
Thank you
