Topic: Autographed Rolling Stones SuperBowl XL Football Return to archive Page: 1 2
13th April 2006 12:10 PM
jhensley2 Hello, I won this football in a contest from Sprint who hosted the SuperBowl XL halftime show with the Rolling Stones. And while I am a fan of the music I am in no way a collector, and would like to see this item get into the hands of someone who truly wants it. If interested please visit:

13th April 2006 12:11 PM
jhensley2 haha... if you want to pay 6k i'll end the auction right now :-)
13th April 2006 12:12 PM
glencar LOL I collect but not footballs. Good luck though!
13th April 2006 12:18 PM
parmeda Where's Josh?...he'll bite
13th April 2006 12:19 PM

Break The Spell Nice, I'll have to check back and see how high the prices go, its currently 99 cents!! This will probably be one of those auctions that gets like 100 bids in the last 5 minutes and the price will be quadruple in no time.
13th April 2006 12:20 PM
glencar Go for it!
13th April 2006 12:20 PM
glencar With autographs, Joshy, $350 is rather low.
13th April 2006 12:21 PM
Saint Sway I have a gold record signed by 4 members of the Detroit Lions if anyone is interested.
13th April 2006 12:23 PM
rasputin56 You should definitely add where you got the football from to the description so that more people think it's authentic rather than some guy with a sharpie.
13th April 2006 12:26 PM
telecaster Anything of that value would have a photo of
them signing it

parmeda jb, listen to tele...it's true what he said about a photo.

If you are serious about this, contact the party and get the scoop. It doesn't hurt to ask.

I have purchase 54 things on e-bay, incliding a signed stones 8x10 ER prom and signed albums I think I paid 235-300 for some of these items...I know what some professional footballs go for...usually around 435-600 depending on who signed it...

Thanks parmy

The Stones are very aware of this stuff and always have photos taken when signing something like this

Sprint would have had a photographer there as well
13th April 2006 12:42 PM
glencar Joshy, I thought the football would cost more than that! I might submit a bid now. I hate using ebay though.
13th April 2006 08:31 PM
stonedinaustralia i wish i could buy it just so i could punt it onto the nearest garbage tip

an autographed football for god's sake...that would have to be one the crassest and irrelevant pieces of "official" stones "memorabilia" one could imagine...exceeding even those head bobbing figures they were flogging on the Licks tour

i pray the "signatures" are printed not hand-signed but, still, that is no excuse

you know must purchase one of those square football holders and display this in a room where it will not be taken out and played catch with or shredded by Monster (he will be angry when he realizes he has an undecended testicle)
