DG81 Just got back from London from seeing Charlie and his Tentet last night at Ronnie Scott’s. I must say, I don't think I've ever seen a human being look so happy in all my life! Charlie, usually pretty sedate when onstage with the Stones, was smiling and joking with his band the entire night night!! He was also very witty with just a hint of deadpan when talking to the audience between sets, dealing admirably with over-enthusiastic drunks; "...Oh...we've got another one of THEM in tonight then, have we?..."
I was lucky enough to meet Charlie and Bill (who was in the audience) in 2001 - no chance of that this time unfortunately, but great to see Charlie so in his element, bless him!!

Everyone who attended was also given a 1-track promo CD from his forthcoming live album as a bonus, oh, and 'Trigger' was there from Only Fools And Horses!!!
