Thanks all.
Like last year, spent it scuba diving in the Maldives. Seven dives in five days. Visibility so good it's like a fricking fish tank. Black tip reef sharks, manta rays, moray eels. I like the big stuff. Others go for these rare little wormy things. Sorry, if it's an inch long, I don't care what it is.
Best gifts from wife: iTrip, so the iPod works in the car (yippie!), and a DVD of the Dead's '76 New Year's show from Cow Palace. Stones related item: "Being Mick," which I've of course seen before but will now go back and study the bits about digitizing the archives. I also love the scene with Jerry chewing him out in the back seat of the car.
I'm probably moving from Sri Lanka later this summer, next destination unknown. But probably the last Maldives trip. Good thing too, it puts me in the poor house.
